NYC: ERIC MICHAEL GILLETT: THE WIT AND WISDOM OF NOEL COWARD

Eric Michael Gillett brings to life the Wit and Wisdom of Noel Coward in his new show at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909), with performances scheduled for Friday & Saturday, October 10th & 11th; Mondays, October 20th & 27th, and November 3rd - all shows at 7:00 pm. Musical Director is Rick Jensen with Matt Scharfglass on bass and Jonathan Kantor on reeds. The epitome of wit and sophistication, Sir Noel Coward's storied career spanned more than half a century. In Man About Town, award-winning cabaret artist Eric Michael Gillett focuses on the music and lyrics of the man known as the Master. After acclaimed evenings dedicated to Harold Arlen, Stephen Sondheim, Craig Carnelia, Lorenz Hart, and his revue in development, The Amanda McBroom Project, Man About Town allows Eric Michael to focus an entire evening on the wit and wisdom of one of the twentieth century's most admired and brilliant artists. From "What's Going to Happen to the Tots," "Don't Put Your Daughter on the Stage, Mrs. Worthington" and "Uncle Harry" to "Come the Wild, Wild Weather" and "London Pride," Man About Town explores the Noel Coward musical legacy in all of its considerable glory. Eric Michael Gillett is known as a director, an actor, a singer, and a teacher. He is the recipient of both the MAC Award for Outstanding Direction and the Dick Gallagher Award, bestowed by the Mabel Mercer Foundation, for his unique contributions to the art of cabaret. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: DANA LORGE'S VARIETY SHOW

The Dana Lorge Variety Show returns to the THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, October 10th at 7:00 pm. Dana is joined on stage by Barry Levitt on piano and Jon Burr on bass along with special guests: Rick Crom, Lina Koutrakos, Don Rebic & Christine Reisner, Frans Bloem, Jillian Laurain & Nicholas Tamagna, Andrea Wolfe and Warren Schein. NYC: MOXIE MAGNUS: QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE

Lt. Moxie Magnus, the Chief Cosmetology Officer of the Starship Enterprise, slingshots back from the future for a night of out of this world laughs and lyrics on Friday, October 10th at 10:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909 - ). This 23rd century siren dishes the dirt on all your sci-fi favorites. Your physics professor was wrong; there is no friction in the void of space, but the drag is fantastic! Dallas DuBois and her merry band of drag stars put a bawdy twist on some of your favorite pop culture icons in a series of cult hit pop culture revues whicj run on alternate Fridays at 10:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). The group presents the Magic Kindom themed DISTORTED DIZNEE, the Great White Way tribute DISTORTED BROADWAY and the new Silver Screen inspired DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD. This trio of Las Vegas-style drag extravaganzas feature drag stars Holly Dae, Bootsie LeFaris, Pixie Aventura, Brenda Dharling, Dallas DuBois and more. For the holidays, they will present DISTORTED KRISTMESS, all of your holiday favorites are run past a dirty funhouse mirror. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. NYC: THE NEWTILDAS: PAIGE BRADY, GABRIELLA PIZZOLO, RIPLEY SOBO, & AVA ULLOA

Following their triumphant performances as "Matilda" in the Broadway smash Matilda The Musical, 11 year old Paige Brady, 11 year old Gabriella Pizzolo, 11 year old Ripley Sobo and 9 year old Ava Ulloa (aka the "Newtildas") perform some of their favorite songs from Broadway and beyond at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Friday, October 10th with shows at 7:00 & 9:30 pm. Michael J. Moritz, Jr. is music directing and Van Dean (of Broadway Records) is producing. Paige, Gabriella and Ava made their Broadway debuts in Matilda. Ripley has been seen previously in Once and in the film Winter's Tale. There is a $30-$40 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: PUNK GOES BELOW

After sold out shows at Joe's Pub, Caroline's on Broadway, and 92YTribeca, Ewalt & Walker are bringing their music to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Friday, October 10th at 11:30 pm as part of the club's Late Night Series. And this time, they've got their pajamas. "Punk Goes Below" will feature some of musical theatre's finest performing the songs of Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Paramore, Panic! At The Disco, Yellowcard, My Chemical Romance, 5 Seconds Of Summer, and more, as well as wicked sick Pop-Punk vocalists covering Broadway classics and new musical theatre favorites. A portion of the proceeds from this concert will be benefiting "To Write Love On Her Arms", a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Featuring Alexis Acar (PANIC! The Musical, Washington National Opera), Liz Byrne (Baby It's You), Seth Coggeshall (His Dream Of Lions), Evan Ruggiero (American Idol, Ellen DeGeneres Show, PANIC! NYC: MOLLY RINGWALD MAKES CAFE CARLYLE DEBUT

Singer/actress Molly Ringwald will make her Cafe Carlyle debut in 'An Evening with Molly Ringwald' at THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) on Tuesday through Saturday, October 7th through 18th at 8:45 pm with an additional show on Saturdays at 10:45 pm. Ringwald, who got her start in the iconic John Hughes films The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Pretty In Pink, has since become an accomplished stage actress, writer and jazz singer. She has starred in Broadway productions of the Pulitzer Prize-winning How I Learned to Drive; the revival of Cabaret; Tony-nominated Enchanted April and the West End production of When Harry Met Sally. She will perform songs from the Great American Songbook and Ringwald's acclaimed album, Except Sometimes and will be joined by her musical director and pianist Peter Smith (all dates except October 9 where he will be substituted by Laurence Hobgood) and Trevor Ware on bass. There is a $50-115 cover.
