NYC: BARRET IS BACK ON RESTAURANT ROW

Chris Barrett returns to LA RIVISTA RISTORANTE (313 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-366-4603) on Monday, May 19th, where he will be at the piano Mondays through Wednesdays. There are two shows nightly, a dinner show at 8:00 and a supper show at 10:00 pm. Chris Barrett's performances are in the tradition of the great late-night boites of a fondly remembered era, when the likes of Hugh Shannon, Bobby Short, and Buddy Barnes manned the keyboard. There is no cover charge

NYC: STEVEN CHERA - A VINTAGE STYLE ALL HIS OWN

Steven Chera, a singer/song stylist of traditional pop, jazz, & easy listening, returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Wednesday, September 10th at 7:00 pm. Over his life-long career as a singer he has developed an eclectic range of shows featuring music from the 1930s/1940s jazz standards, 1950s rock, to the swinging hits of the 1960s & 70s. Singing since the age of 12, his first public performance was his own rendition of Elvis Presley's "Hound Dog" sung at a community event that gave the audience chills. The Brooklyn born Chera spent his early years listening and studying music legends like Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra and of course Elvis Presley. Even though he has responsibilities of working in the family retail business he never stopped pursuing music. Lately Steven has been working on his NEW album "Smile". There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: MINDA LARSEN SINGS JOHNNY MERCER: TRAV'LIN' LIGHT

Minda Larsen will sing the music of Johnny Mercer in her show 'Trav'lin' Light' at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Wednesday, September 10th at 9:30 pm. The show is directed by Peter Napolitano with musical direction by Neal Kirkwood. Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Minda Larsen moved to New York to study opera at the Manhattan School of Music. She has performed with the New York Philharmonic, American Symphony Orchestra, Little Orchestra Society, and at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and the TriBeCa New Music Festival; as well as with numerous other symphonies and orchestras. She premiered Paul McCartney's symphony Ecce Cor Meum at Carnegie Hall. Most recently she was seen in the Emmy Award winning Carousel! with the New York Philharmonic, which was also televised for PBS: Live from Lincoln Center. Though classically, trained she transcends musical genres and is highly recognized in theater, jazz and opera. She has traveled the world with her one-woman show: "How to Find True Love on a Cruise Ship." There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: CHRISTINE EBERSOLE AT 54 BELOW

Two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole will present an exciting new show to open the fall season at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) with performances on September 8th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 17th & 18th at 7:00 pm; September 10th at 9:30 pm; and September 20th at 8:00 pm. Currently starring on the hit TBS comedy series Sullivan & Son, Christine Ebersole returns to the New York nightclub scene with her first new show in two years. From pop to Broadway, and a few standards and jazz in between, the new show features Musical Director Bette Sussman (Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler, Darlene Love, Whitney Houston) and a full band. Winner of two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical (42nd Street and Grey Gardens), Christine has also starred in film (Wolf of Wall Street), television (Royal Pains) and has performed concerts in theaters and concert halls across the country, from The Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall to The Pasadena and Boston Pops. Coming home to NYC and returning to 54 Below for a full two week engagement is Christine's favorite way to kick off the fall music season. There is a $55-$75 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: LOUIS ST. LOUIS & FRIENDS AT 54 BELOW

Louis St. Louis, a Grammy Award-winning musician, singer, composer, arranger, author and conductor will perform at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Tuesday & Wednesday, September 9th & 10th at 7:00 pm. As a "Cabaret Original' he looks forward to 54 Below where he can return to his early roots when he was conducting on Broadway and moonlighting at Manhattan landmark cabarets. He brings to 54 an emotionally driven evening with original songs from shows he has worked on including Grease 1 & 2, Disco People, Wuthering Heights and Sugar Hill and selections from his two award-winning original musicals playing in China - an R&B Hip Hop version of The Monkey King and The Joker's Game. His illustrious guest artists will include Loni Ackerman, LaTanya Hall, Ramona Keller, Frank Pagano, Michael Park and Darryl Jovann Williams and his very special guest, Lana Cantrell.
