LOS ANGELES: MARY BOGUE: "MY FRIENDS CALL ME ROSIE"

Mary Bogue brings her show "My Friends Call Me Rosie" to THEGARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) on Friday & Saturday, September 12th & 13th at 9:00 pm. Mary will lead you to discover what made Rosemary's life so extraordinary. Featuring guest vocalist Tom Culver and the marvelous Steve Rawlins Trio - with Gordon Peeke on drums and Adrian Rosen on bass, it's a night to remember in the world's oldest cabaret venue. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum or dinner.

SAN FRANCISCO: BOSSACUCANOVA AT YOSHI'S

Electro-bossa pioneers BossaCucaNova - founded by Marcio Menescal (son of bossa nova pioneer Roberto Menescal), DaLua and record producer/sound engineer Alex Moreira - performs atYOSHI'S (1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Friday, September 12th at 8:00 pm. Joining them will be special guests Cris Delanno & DadoBrother. Celebrating fifteen years together, the boys of Grammy-nominated utilize an optimistic nationalism as the foundation of their latest album, Our Kind Of Bossa (Six Degrees Records). The upbeat eleven-track record features numerous guests, focusing equally on Brazil's other homegrown concoction: samba. There is a $35 cover.
