NEW HOPE, PA: ANDREA MCARDLE "70S AND SUNNY"

Broadway's Original "Annie" Andrea McArdle brings her show "70s and Sunny" to THE RRAZZ ROOM IN NEW HOPE (6426 Lower York Road, New Hope, PA - 888-596-1027) on Saturday, September 13th at 8:00 pm abd Sunday, September 14th at 7:00 pm. Andrea McArdle rocketed to stardom as Broadway's original "Annie", for which she was the youngest performer ever nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, winning both the Theatre World and Outer Critics' Circle Awards for her performance. 70s and Sunny is a look at the music of the seventies. The voice that helped define a decade pays tribute to the music of the decade that helped define her as an artist and singer. From Broadway to Billy Joel, from disco to Motown, Andrea explores her musical roots and reveals how the girl who danced at Studio 54 evolved into the woman and show business legend she is today. Call for cover/minimum information.

WASHINGTON, DC: YELLOWJACKETS AT BLUES ALLEY

The Yellowjackets will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Thursday through Sunday, September 11th through 14th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. The buzz surrounding The Yellowjackets continues to resonate after over 20 years of recording. And as long as the band continues to expand its musical horizons, founding member and group keyboardist Russell Ferrante expects the band to pollinate a plethora of genres for years to come. In 1977, Robben Ford assembled a group of veteran session musicians to record his album The Inside Story. The trio of musicians, which included keyboardist Russell Ferrante, bassist Jimmy Haslip and drummer Ricky Lawson, soon discovered a certain "chemistry" and musical affinity that led to their formation of Yellowjackets. The band today is Russell Ferrante on keys, Bob Mintzer on sax, William Kennedy on drums and Felix Pastorius on bass. Call for cover/minimum information.
