CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: PURCHASE JAZZ ORCHESTRA WITH SPECIAL GUEST JON FADDIS (should have been included in last batch)
The SUNY Purchase Jazz Orchestra (PJO) will perform at DIZZY'S CLUB AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER (33 West 60th Street, NYC - 212-258-9595) on Monday, April 21st with shows at 7:30 & 9:30 pm. The orchestra is a 17-piece big band comprised of talented students from the Conservatory of Music's jazz studies program. Performing jazz from every era, from staples like Ellington and Basie to leading contemporary composers like McNeely, Clayton, Abene, and Schneider, the PJO always swings. Jon Faddis, the legendary protege of Dizzy Gillespie, joins the orchestra as a guest artist. There is a $35 cover.
