NYC: OFFICIALLY ALIVE - JUSTIN DANIEL

Bistro Award Winner Justin Daniel makes his return to cabaret with his show 'Officially Alive' at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Mondays, April 21st & 28th at 7:00 pm. Officially Alive chronicles the often bizarre road towards gay fatherhood. After getting married and deciding to pursue parenthood through surrogacy, Justin delves into to countless awkward conversations, difficult choices, and the defining moments of life. All of this is told with an eclectic musical lens that brings together the music of David Bowie, John Mayer, Stephen Sondheim, and so many more. With multiple MAC award recipients Scott Coulter (Broadway By The Year) and Michael Holland (Godspell 2011 Revival) directing and music directing respectively, the show promises to be a musically adventurous, funny, and touchingly honest account of what it means to be "officially" alive in the 21st century. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JENNIFER ROBERTS RETURNS TO DON'T TELL MAMA

After successful shows at Judy's Chelsea and Don't Tell Mama, Jennifer Roberts is back to celebrate her love for Manhattan with two new shows at New York hotspot DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Monday, April 21st & Wednesday, April 23rd, both shows at 9:15 pm. New Musical Director Tedd Firth will join Jennifer along with returning bass player Ritt Henn. Directed by Andy Gale with technical direction by Jason Ellis, ''An Evening With Jennifer Roberts'' features Firth's spectacular arrangements of songs from composers Leonard Bernstein, Alec Wilder and Kurt Weill to Sheldon Harnick, Duke Ellington and Dave Frishberg. Jennifer, whose regional credits include Sarah Brown opposite Broadway leading man Tom Wopat in Guys and Dolls, serves up an entertaining, exhilarating, jazz-infused show that highlights her wide vocal range. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: CLAUDINE CASSAN-JELLISON AT DON'T TELL MAMA

Claudine Cassan-Jellison will perform atDON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Sunday, April 20th at 7:30 pm and Monday, April 21st at 7:30 pm. She is accompanied by David Gaines at the piano. Claudine is having a homecoming of sorts, a joyous musical return for an entertainer who traded a successful career as a cabaret singer and actress for the more prosaic but challenging world of public education. Luckily, Claudine scattered some musical breadcrumbs along the paths of academe because she's found her way back to New York nightlife, bringing along with her a collection of songs that range from renowned classics by Irving Berlin and Cole Porter to more contemporary turns by Stevie Wonder and Billie Joel. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: VOCALIST - ARRANGER DARRYL J. WILLIAMS AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Darryl J. Williams will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Monday, April 21st at 9:30 pm. Darryl has performed in such shows as Smokey Joe's Cafe, (Original Broadway Cast Reunion, National Tour, European Tour, with Glady's Knight), Once On This Island (The Hanger Theatre) Big Mama Stringbean The Life of Ethel Waters (New Federal Theatre) in which he received an AUDELCO Award Nomination. Williams is a very sought after vocal arranger and Gospel Music Clinician. Williams created vocal arrangements for Sir. Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar, Gospel, (The Alliance Theatre) in which he also played Judas. He was nominated for a Suzie Bass Award for Best Actor. He was invited back to the Alliance Theatre to be Musical Director for the award winning a cappella musical, Avenue X. Mr. Williams has created vocal arrangements for and sung back ground vocals for such music legends such as Gladys Knight, Leslie Gore, Ann Nesby, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Dorothy Norwood and Mr. Louis St. Louis. NYC: SHOTGUN WEDDING AT STAGE 72

Country band Shotgun Wedding plays at STAGE 72(158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) on Monday, April 21st at 7:00 pm. Like a moonshine martini, New York City-based 'Shotgun Wedding' blends urban sophistication with homegrown intoxication. Shotgun Wedding, a city-country band, pays homage to classic country music while keeping an eye on the future, firing off original songs that are at once down-home and downtown. Shotgun Wedding features Chuck Burgi (drums) Andy Cichon (bass and vocals), both currently on tour with Billy Joel, guitarist and singer Dennis DelGaudio (Billy Joel, MD for Movin' Out Uk and member of the Movin' Out Band), pianist and vocalist Wade Preston (starred in Movin' Out On Broadway) and vocalist Catherine Porter, (Broadway's Next To Normal, London and Australia Sunset Boulevard, Brian May Band). There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: NEW YORK'S NEXT TOP DRAG QUEEN CONTEST

"New York's Next Top Drag Queen" will be presented at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Mondays at 7:00 pm, March 31 & April 14th (8 first-round contestants perform two new songs each week); April 21st (6 semifinalists present mini sets, offering a glimpse of what a full show will be); April 28th (4 finalists sing a new song, a repeat song and a theme song) and May 5th - finale (the 4 finialists sing a new song and make a heartfelt appeal for why they deserve to wear the crown; the finale features several special guests). The event is produced by the Metropolitan Room, Joseph Macchia. The contest's permanent judges include the MAC and Bistro award-winning cabaret producer Joseph Macchia ("Cabaret Cares" and "Broadway on 22nd Street" and "Boys Night Out"), the Broadway veteran and cabaret star T. Oliver Reid (winner 2011 MetroStar; 2012 MAC debut, and 2013 Bistro), and Frankie C. (columnist for Odyssey Magazine). The Mystery Judge will remain "closeted" until the very end. The Grand Prize includes: A Cash Prize of $500 and a One Night Videotaped, Club-Produced Show. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

"Sunshine Boy", Coulby Jenkins flits through his musical farewell to New York City on Monday, April 21st at 7:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). Jenkins celebrates a decade of love, loss and light through the music of Buble, Bareilles, Boston, and more. Ariane Reinhart and musical director and GRAMMY Winner Laurence Hobgood explore the triumphs, tribulations and humor of the human spirit as we cope with love and loss throughout our lives in their show 'The Remains of the Night' at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday, April 21st at 7:00 pm. Ariane sings a variety of musical theater, jazz and popular songs that have all new arrangements written and performed by Laurence Hobgood and his trio. Ariane takes the audience through a comedic and deeply moving journey through song and anecdotes. With music by Jason Robert Brown, Adam Guettel, U2, Indigo Girls, Tracy Chapman and others the show surprises and delights with unique interpretations. Lennie Watts directs. If It Only Even Runs A Minute is the Bistro Award-winning concert series celebrating rare songs, behind-the-scenes tales and inspiring photos from underappreciated musicals. Created and hosted by 54 Below Director of Programming Jennifer Ashley Tepper and The Book of Mormon's Kevin Michael Murphy, with musical direction by Joshua Zecher-Ross, each concert includes performances and stories from original cast members and writers of selected featured shows, as well as new interpretations. The 12th Edition of the concert will feature performances from Randy Blair (Adding Machine), Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!), two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran (Annie, Promises, Promises, Noises Off), Hunter Foster (The Bridges of Madison County, Hands on a Hardbody), Anita Gillette (Chapter Two, Brighton Beach Memoirs), A.J. NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
