CHICAGO: WOZ: A ROCK CABARET AT DAVENPORTS

WOZ: A Rock Cabaret will be presented at DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Mondays, April 14th & 21st at 8:00 pm. Performers include Heather Currie, Clara D'Onofrio, Edward Fraim, Scott Gryder, James Nedrud, Kimberly Lawson, Kevin Webb, Nick Sula, and Eric Engelson. Everyone loved Wizard of Oz as kids. Some were obsessed with dreams of rainbow icons, others the talking animals and fantastical friends. And so it is for seven adult children who refused to grow up and quit playing make believe. Join these Ozians in their musical sandbox as they travel the yellow brick road with the help of their favorite power ballads and rock anthems from the 80s, 90s, and today. Its like your favorite mix radio station but better ... because it has witches and munchkins. There is an $18 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

LOS ANGELES: TRIPLE THREAT HOSTED BY MICHAEL-LEON WOOLEY

Michael-Leon Wooley presents the second in a series of concerts featuring some of Broadway's best singers in TRIPLE THREAT, an exclusive L.A. showcase, at VITELLO'S (4349 Tujunga Avenue, Studio City, CA - 818-769-0905) on Monday,April 21st at 8:00 pm. Vitello's will open its doors to the music that sets Broadway aglow and brings audiences to their feet. Hosted by Michael-Leon Wooley (from Broadway's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE MUSIC MAN, and FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE) the evening will highlight three Broadway "Triple Threats" each month. This month, the featured performers will be Chandra Lee Schwartz (Wicked, Gypsy), Maurice Murphy (Spelling Bee, Motown), and Valerie Perri (Evita, Jerome Robbins B'way).There is a $15 cover.

SAN DIEGO, CA: SASHA WEISS & BRANDON MAIER AT MARTINIS ABOVE FOURTH

Sasha Weiss and Brandon Maier will perform atMARTINI'S ABOVE FOURTH (3940 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA - 619-400-4500) on Monday, April 21st at 7:00 pm. Sasha and Brandon have been Facebook friends since 2005, so they have seen each other through many a relationship status. Join them as they sing you through a journey of social media relationships from "it's complicated with" to "married to" and all that's in between! There is a $15 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

SAN FRANCISCO: I WANNA BE LOVED: THE STORIES OF DINAH WASHINGTON

The Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center presents I Wanna Be Loved: The Stories of Dinah Washington, in Association with the San Francisco Filipino American Jazz Festival. The show will be performed by Barbara Morrison with the BMPAC Big Band conducted by John Stephens at YOSHI'S(1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-655-5600) on Monday, April 21st at 8:00 pm. American Jazz and Blues legend and GRAMMY-nominated artist, Barbara Morrison has won the NAACP Theater Award for Best Musical Director and Best Actress Award from El Camino College in Southern California. Her melodic voice, with its two-and-a-half-octave range, is known worldwide, as are her rich, unique, soulful and highly spirited interpretations of familiar Jazz and Blues classics and original contemporary tunes. Equally as striking is Ms. Morrison's ability to belt out down-home, soul-stirring Blues. Her impassioned renditions of standards are nothing short of breathtaking. Jay Jackson will portray Brook Benton, American singer/songwriter and Dinah Washington's musical collaborator in the musical. Dinner/Show: $68 Show only: $35.
