BOS: AN EVENING WITH OTTMAR LIEBERT & LUNA NEGRA TONIGHT
Ottmar Liebert & Luna Negra will release their new CD "Dune" at SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB (400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111 - ) on Wednesday, June 5th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. DUNE contains the haunting southwest border-country flamenco music Ottmar & his band Luna Negra are famous for. This isn't old school flamenco, here acoustic guitar mixes with electric, with gypsy accordion & electric bass, hand clapping, funky drum-boxing & percussion. No rain in this music, just poetic sunshine at midnight. German born guitarist, Ottmar Liebert has traveled Europe and Asia absorbing every musical tradition he encountered. Liebert has since become one of the most successful instrumental artists of the past decade, thrilling audiences throughout the world and releasing a catalog of classic recordings.
