METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) presents a Fundraising Benefit Performance in support of The Meeting House! on Tuesday, March 15th, at 6:00 pm (NOTE TIME). Musical Direction by Bob Stein. For more than forty years, Robert Klein has entertained audiences, and he continues to have an acclaimed career in comedy, on Broadway, on television and in film. He has been nominated twice for Grammy Awards and received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor. He also won a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the hit Neil Simon musical,"They're Playing Our Song." In 1993, Klein won an Obie and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in Wendy Wasserstein's, "The Sisters Rosensweig." Robert Klein has also appeared with Jerry Seinfeld in the online hit series "Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee".
