NYC: NYC: ANALISA BELL BRINGS BACK HER ACCLAIMED SHOW, "PERTHONALITY", TO THE DUPLEX


One of Perth's (AUS) finest cabaret performers is returning to reprise her critically acclaimed show of last November to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Sunday, March 20th at 9:30 pm. Bell is joined by Alex Rybeck on piano and Pat Deeney on banjo/ guitar. Equally comfortable in pulling tears and laughter out of her audiences, Analisa Bell is one of Australia's rising cabaret stars, and a featured regular at The Butterfly Club in Melbourne and at Downstairs at the Maj, Perth's premier cabaret venue. Analisa has performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Short + Sweet Cabaret, Sydney Cabaret Showcase, Perth's Fringe World Festival, as well as making her New York City debut at The Duplex in 2012 after participating at the International Cabaret Conference at Yale. Bell is the winner of this year's Shana Farr Cabaret Competition at the Annual Broadway Spring Festival, and is currently being mentored by Tony-award winner Faith Prince. Bell has also performed in showcase nights at Birdland Jazz Club and Don't Tell Mama's. Bell has devised and performed in a number of sell-out one woman shows including: The Fat Lady Sings, Gold-digger, Two Weeks in Paris, Strange Fruit: A Billie Holiday Tribute, Gershwin and Other Men: Songs to Warm the Heart and Diamonds: Marilyn Monroe Lives Inside Me. Her collaborative cabarets have also had successful runs, including You've Got That Thing! - A Tribute to Cole Porter, for which she received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Ethel Merman. There is a $18.00 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
