LONDON: CHRISTINE PEDI WITH 'GREAT DAMES'
Long time Forbidden Broadway diva and renowned impressionist Christine Pedi makes her debut at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) on Tuesday through Saturday, October 20th through 24th at 8:00 pm with her show Great Dames. singing songs celebrating the great ladies of the stage, screen and beyond (some of them are ... well, fictional). With comic flair & warm appreciation, she conjures up Merman, Minnelli, Streisand, Stritch, Julie Andrews, Joan Rivers and more, plus classic tunes first popularised by many a great dame (real or imagined!) Fresh from the recent Broadways satirical revue NEWSICAL THE MUSICAL and from her daily hosting on Broadway's SiriusXM Radio, this multi-award winning cabaret artist has performed all over the US, London & South Africa. Her renowned impressions garnered her a Drama Desk nomination in the legendary and long running FORBIDDEN BROADWAY, a show she appeared in all over the world including London's West End. On Broadway she's been Mama Morton in CHICAGO, in TALK RADIO with Liev Schrieber and LITTLE ME with Martin Short. Off Broadway she's played the title role in MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING & MARRIAGE and appeared in many of the 24 HOUR PLAYS, A TRAIN PLAYS & PROJECT SHAW productions. LONDON: KAI HOFFMAN & HER KOMBO - SWING NIGHT AT THE CRAZY COQS
As part of the new weekly SWING DANCE NIGHTS every Friday night at 10:30 pm at THE CRAZY COQS AT BRASSERIE ZEDEL (20 Sherwood St, Piccadilly, London W1F 7ED - 020 7734 4888) presents Kai Hoffman & Her Kombo. The tables will be cleared, the dance floor prepared and from 10.30pm, one of our vibrant house bands will get the evening going with a swing! A favourite jive band with discerning lindy hoppers and swing jazz connoisseurs, Kai Hoffman & her Kombo have supported celebs from Joss Stone to the cast of Red Dwarf, with diplomats and royalty in between. Fronted by American "Queen of Swing" Kai Hoffman, Kai's Cats play a superbly danceable mix of jive, swing and rock and roll. Kai Hoffman & her Kombo have featured on BBC Radio and Jazz FM, and have played at venues and festivals all over the UK and abroad. With nearly ten years of jivin' under their belts, they are a fabulously swingin' band. Call for cover/minimum information.
