Teresa Eggertsen Cooke takes you on a musical journey in her truly eclectic way in "Rock-a-Loungica" at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), on Saturday, August 15th at 7:00 pm. Singer/pianist Teresa Eggersten Cooke has the unique musical ability to fuse the jazz standard with the rock ballad and now does this to create "Rock-a-Loungica". Teresa's newest program is a musical journey that crosses rock and pop genres, bringing music to life in a way we are all at once comfortably familiar with. The show made its debut in April at the E-SPOT LOUNGE AT VITELLO'S in Studio City, CA, and Tom Rolla's THE GARDENIA in West Hollywood on June 3rd. Teresa performs songs from the rock song canon that you may have listened to and make one feel as if they are hearing them for the very first time. The combination of her beautiful, translucent voice and musical presentation set her apart from the crowd. Teresa stands alone in her field. A native of Park City, Utah, Teresa Eggertsen Cooke is a resident artist known by Metropolitan Room audiences for her musical programs "Decades of Song" , and "Joy!" and most recently, "A Mother's Day Martini Matinee". She is overjoyed to be taking her newest creation back to the east coast. She named her current show "Rock-a-loungica", because of the way she views and feels (her) music. The music and lyrics Teresa plays and sings are most diverse. Joined by Bassist Iris Ornig and trombonist Ben Lepley at 6:15 PM). Reservations are highly recommended. THE DAN BAND plays to sold out crowds from Los Angeles to New York and has appeared on numerous shows including The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ellen, The Late Late Show, Last Call with Carson Daly, Last Comic Standing, The Guys Choice Awards and caught the attention of Steven Spielberg, who signed on to executive produce Dan's one hour concert special "The Dan Band: I Am Woman," directed by McG.
