INDIANAPOLIS, IN: CAROL WELSMAN AT THE CABARET AT THE COLUMBIA CLUB
Carol Welsman, an internationally acclaimed singer and pianist, will perform at THE CABARET AT THE COLUMBIA CLUB (121 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN - 317-275-1169) on Friday, August 14th at 8:00 pm and Saturday, August 15th at 7:00 pm. Her expressive vocal stylings and dynamic stage presence have captivated audiences around the world and established her place as one of the finest vocalists and pianists on the scene today. Carol has released nine albums since her first CD, Lucky To Be Me, in 1995. Her numerous achievements include six Juno (Canadian Grammy) Award nominations and several CDN Smooth Jazz Awards. Carol's 2008 recording I LIKE MEN - Reflections of Miss Peggy Lee was voted "Top 5 Album of the Year" in USA Today. Carol will also be leading a Master Class at The Cabaret on Saturday, August 15th. There is a $25-$55 cover plus a $12 food/drink minimum.
CHICAGO, IL: POPDELITE! WITH GRACIE HARPER
Gracie Harper is excitedly returning to DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Saturday, August 15th at 8:00 pm with her show PopDelite!. After the success of her first solo musical performance, Chameleon's Delite Gracie is going to sing an homage to the goddesses of pop music. From GaGa to Ariana, and Katy to Taylor, she's ready to riff and belt her way through a songbook that covers some of our most beloved pop stars freakishly catchy songs. Gracie is also an Artistic Associate for Random Acts Chicago. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
