NYC: ROBYN MCCORQUODALE "DIARY OF A PIANO GIRL"
Robyn McCorquodale returns to NYC with her show "Diary of a Piano Girl", which will be performed at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE(407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Wednesday, April 8th at 7:00 pm. The show is a multi-media presentation featuring songs, stories and seven continents! celebrating her latest CD, Sleep With Angels and more. She will be joined on stage by NYC's musical talents: Peter Calo (guitar), Ritt Henn (bass) and Chris Marshak (drums)! Additional performances are scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th; Wednesday, April 22nd; and Tuesday, April 28th - all shows at 7:00 pm.

NYC: KEVIN DOZIER IS IN "A NEW YORK ROMANCE"
MAC and Back Stage Bistro Award-winning vocalist, Kevin Dozier, returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) to celebrate a life-long love affair with New York City in "A New York Romance" on Wednesday, April 8th at 7:00 pm. Featuring standards, Broadway, jazz, and pop songs from Kevin's studio recordings, "Love-Wise" and "Love's Never Lost", as well as new arrangements set for Kevin by the incomparable Marilyn Maye, Alex Rybeck, and Tedd Firth. You will be taken on a journey exploring love and the passage of time in New York City. Kevin will be joined by Award-Winning Musical Director, Alex Rybeck, who has accompanied Broadway and Cabaret performers including Ann Hampton Callaway, Liz Callaway, Jeff Harnar, Karen Akers, Roslyn Kind, Celia Berk, Jason Graae, and Faith Prince. Also joining Kevin are award-winning guitarist, Sean Harkness, on guitar, and Jered Egan on bass, and John Redsecker on drums. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: THE HIGHLAND DIVAS - MUSICAL CROSSROADS
Georgia Johnson, Margaret Kelly, and Marla Kavanaugh, aka The Highland Divas, perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Wednesday, April 8th at 9:30 pm. The trio are a long way from home. Although these talented young women are enjoying careers that landed them in New York, they all hail from well outside of the Big Apple. Georgia, Margaret, and Marla are from different parts of the world, with diverse musical backgrounds and a common heritage. These uniquely talented artists will take you on a musical journey that spans the folk music of Ireland, Scotland, and New Zealand, and culminates in the soaring heights of Rock Opera. It is a journey from the most achingly spare Celtic ballads, to the most thrilling, harmonized interpretations of popular and classical music. Georgia Johnson is an alumni of Glasgow's prestigious Musical Theatre Course at Knightswood Secondary School, as well as a Scottish actress, singer, and dancer who moved to the US in 2004 when she was accepted with scholarship into The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. After graduating in 2006, she successfully landed the role of Orange Girl, in the 2007 national tour of Shout! The Mod Musical. Following that, she was offered the role of Sharon in the funny and successful off Broadway show Girls Night The Musical. In 2008, Georgia served as the first non-American USO girl for two years, performing for productions such as Dick Clarks' New Years Rockin' Eve Show. Performing to over 22.6 million viewers, she also sang the national anthem at New York's City Field and various other patriotic events across the US. In 2012 she sang the national anthem for the NASDAQ ringing of the bell. Margaret Kelly has wowed audiences in her native Scotland and in the United States with her stirring powerhouse voice that has been described as "cathartic." She received a scholarship to the prestigious AMDA in New York and established herself immediately in performing the role of Grizabella in three productions of Cats - The Musical, including the Broadway 25th Anniversary Tour. After establishing herself as an artist to watch in Scotland, and recording and starring in multiple musicals, she sang the national anthem at the 10th anniversary commemoration of 9/11 in New York. Marla Kavanaugh has captivated worldwide audiences with her angelic soprano. Originally from New Zealand, she is a critically acclaimed leading lady in opera and musical theatre. Marla sang in the Los Angeles Opera Gala welcoming Placido Domingo as Artistic Director. She starred in the post Broadway West Coast premiers of Terence MacNally's Masterclass and Paul Gordon's Jane Eyre. She has been a guest soloist with symphonies in New Zealand, The US, Japan, and The Netherlands. As a recording artist, she has been a guest on three albums with international tenor, Daniel Rodriguez, and her debut album "Songbirds", with identical twin sister Marissa, is available worldwide. Marla is currently touring the US with the show Boy Meets Girl alongside Daniel Rodriguez. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: BEN RIMALOWER DEBUTS NEW PLAY "BAD WITH MONEY"
Ben Rimalower returns with his new play "Bad With Money" to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) running on Wednesdays at 9:30 pm. Ben Rimalower's addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life. In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem - or get rich trying. "Bad With Money" is written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark. Rimalower's first solo show, the long-running hit Patti Issues, explored his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father. Bad with Money delves into even deeper personal territory with the story of his struggle with debt - a journey that takes him through drug addiction, prostitution, fraud and multiple betrayals. There is a $25-$50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: TIM DI PASQUA CONTINUES SONGBOOK SERIES AT MAMA'S
Award-winning Singer/Songwriter Tim Di Pasqua will return to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Wednesday, April 8th at 7:00 for an intimate evening of his original music. In addition to being known for classic pop songs YOU, ONE THING MAYBE YOU DIDN'T HEAR ME and MONSTER UNDER THESE CONDITIONS, Tim has composed the music and lyrics for his theatrical shows SYNCHRONICITY, NOTES ON NEW YORK (The musicalized observations of Tim Di Pasqua) and is currently working on his latest show AN APARTMENT ON THE UPPER WEST SIDE. This intimate concert will be the sixth in his songbook series started in 2014, where Tim has presented a new and different set each night as he moves through his catalog. This latest offering will feature some of very first pop songs he has written as well as four brand new tunes making their debut. Tim's songs have been recorded or performed by the greatest voices on Broadway and in the Pop world including Julia Murney, Capathia Jenkins, Alix Korey, Brian Lane Green, Ann Marie, Heather MacRae, Marcus Simeone, J. Robert Spencer, David Burnham, and Stephen Schwartz. Tim is the recipient of four Backstage Bistro Awards including one for SONG OF THE YEAR and a NEW YORK NIGHTLIFE Award for the show SOUTHERN COMFORT shared with co-stars Scott Coulter and Tom Andersen. NYC: THE CUTTING ROOM PRESENTS: RYAN BRAHMS
THE CUTTING ROOM (44 East 32nd Street, NYC - 212-691-1900) presents Ryan Brahms on Wednesday, April 8th at 8:00 pm. Pop, R&B with a twist of Soul, Ryan Brahms with his distinct powerful voice and a deep rooted Jazz musician background who performed clarinet and saxophone throughout NYC with numerous legends such as James Brown and Dave Brubeck all by the age 19 will be sharing his journey through special musical performance to benefit the New York City battered women shelters that house domestic violence victims, as well as women who have suffered substance abuse. Ryan Brahms and special guest band composed of some of the greatest musicians on tour today, including Tommy Byrnes of The Billy Joel Band will be performing songs from Ryan's new album, SUPERMAN, produced and remixed with arguably one of the most unique producers our generation has seen, Rishi Rich of Teddy Riley Music Group. Comprising of hit songs Superman, Be Mine, For This, Blue Morning, Hands Up and The Only Way. This benefit will help NYC Shelters empower women with their basic needs and special training, as well as providing advocacy for some of their more difficult needs. The hope is to raise awareness so that these women can have a chance to start over and live fulfilled lives along with their children and get their lives back on track. Proceeds will be donated to Light House Outreach for NYC Woman's Shelters. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.
NYC: PATTI LUPONE - "THE LADY WITH THE TORCH"
Broadway's Patti LuPone returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) for an extended run that begins on Thursday, April 2nd and extends to Tuesday, April 14th. Patti LuPone's appearances at 54 Below have already achieved the status of legend. The two-time Tony Award winner returns to 54 Below with her critically-acclaimed show The Lady with A Torch. LuPone performs an eclectic collection of torch songs by such composers and lyricists as Arthur Schwartz, Howard Dietz, Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn, Billy Barnes, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Cole Porter. The show is conceived and directed by Scott Wittman, musical direction by Joseph Thalken, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick and dialogue by Jeffrey Richman. Show dates and times are Thursday through Saturday, April 2nd through 4th at 7:00 pm; Monday through Saturday, April 6th through 11th at 7:00 pm; Monday & Tuesday, April 13th & 14th at 7:00 pm; with an additional late show on Saturday, April 11th at 9:30 pm. There is a $90-$155 cover plus a $30 food/drink minimum.
NYC: ALEXIS COLE AT 54 BELOW
Alexis Cole performs at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Wednesday, April 8th at 9:30 pm. Cole has been compared to classic jazz singers such as Sarah Vaughan and Anita O'Day. She's performed with the Boston Pops and New York Philharmonic on stage at venues from Avery Fisher Hall to the Kennedy Center. She records for Mot•ma Music, NY, Chesky Records, NY and Venus Records, Japan. Cole is the recipient of a Swing Journal Gold Disk award, and was a winner of the NY Jazzmobile and Montreux Jazz Festival vocal competitions, and a finalist of the Sarah Vaughan Competition.
