CHICAGO: NICK SULA'S SPOTLIGHT AT THE UPTOWN UNDERGROUND

Chicago's newest retro-themed adult nightclub, UPTOWN UNDERGROUND (4707 North Broadway, Chicago, IL - 773-867-1946) presents NICK SULA'S SPOTLIGHT! every Tuesday night at 8:00 pm. Each week Nick will delight patrons at the piano until 11:00 pm. And he loves to share the spotlight with members of the audience. Bring sheet music and Nick will play as you sing your own rich song from the gorgeous Moonshine stage at the Uptown Underground. If you've got a song in your heart, this is the show for you! There is jusr a $5 cover. 

CHICAGO: "LADIES SING THE BLUES: A BILLIE HOLIDAY CENTENNIAL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION"

In honor of Billie Holiday's 100th birthday, DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) will present a 90 minute career-spanning concert with a jazz trio on Monday & Tuesday, April 6th & 7th at 7:30 pm. Music from her Columbia, Commodore, Verve and Decca catalogue will be sung by an outstanding roster of Chicago jazz, blues and cabaret artists, including Amy Armstrong, Kimberly Gordon, Sophie Grimm, Lynne Jordan, Frieda Lee, Liz Mandeville, Tecora Rogers, and Jeannie Tanner (4/6 only). Musical direction by Johnny Rodgers with Jim Cox on bass and Eric Schneider on horns. Daryl Nitz directs. Songs such as "What a Little Moonlight Can Do," "A Fine Romance," "Easy Livin'," "Strange Fruit," "Body and Soul," "Don't Explain," "Loverman," "Good Morning, Heartache," and her signature song "God Bless the Child" are included plus many more. Over 20 songs will be featured. There is a $37 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
