Every Thursday night, as the curtains fall on Broadway, Host Ben Cameron (from Broadway's Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and his crew of amazingly talented folks welcome a new Broadway star to perform at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) at 10:30 pm in this fun and zany musical theater variety show. Get up close and personal with Broadway's brightest as the stars bare their souls, interact with the crowd and celebrate all things BROADWAY. There is a $5 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

This week's show has has as Special Guest Star: TONY Award Winner Paulo Szot. Seth's weekly interview show always features stars, soon-to-be stars and folks behind the scenes of the musical theater stage - for just a $10 cover - 2-drink minimum. NYC: MARTHA LORIN AND JON WEBER AT DON'T TELL MAMA
Jazz vocalist Martha Lorin and NPR's Jon Weber will present 'Songs from The American Standards Songbook' at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Thursday, February 19th at 7:00 pm. Singer/ Lyricist/ Songwriter Martha Loren and Jon Weber, rising star of the NPR's Piano Jazz, will entertain with a program that will include standards as well as a few lesser known songs written by American composers. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: ALFONSO VILALLONGA AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM
Alfonso Vilallonga, an internationally touring singer, songwriter, musician, composer and actor, will appear at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, February 19th at 7:00 pm. Born in Barcelona, Spain, to a musical family, he sings fluently in Spanish, Catalan, French, English and German. Vilallonga earned his Masters in composition and singing from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Alfonso wrote the scores for several films, most notably, 'Blancanieves' (2012), which is a silent film, nominated for Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award and "Transsiberian" (2008). He lived in the US for 10 years, during which he recorded two albums: At the Edge and The End of an Era. In 1993, he returned to Spain, where he found that the music scene, in his own words, "incited suicide." Luckily for the rest of us, he chose instead to release his first album in Spanish, "Bugui del Conformista,' and began performing in Catalonia and Spain. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: THE METROPOLITAN ROOM PRERSENTS SHARIK HASAN
Sharik Hasan, one of the leading pianists and composers of his generation to emerge from India, will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Thursday, February 19th at 9:30 pm. Sharik spent several years studying jazz and classical music in France and the USA while also working in Indian classical musical traditions. He started his tryst with the piano at the age of five and by sixteen, had completed the curriculum of the Royal School of Music, London. He then went to the United States to attend Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music. In 2007, Hasan moved to Paris for two years to study at the Bill Evans Piano Academy where the young pianist integrated quickly into the jazz scene, playing in international festivals with his trio. He was subsequently awarded scholarship to Berklee College of Music where he was selected to be part of a special honors program, the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, under the tutelage of Danilo P•rez. He has performed at venues all over the world including the Blue Note (New York), Panama Jazz Festival, Kriol Jazz Festival (Cape Verde), Nancy Jazz Festival (France), Lincoln Center (New York) and has shared the stage with luminaries such as John Patitucci, Joe Lovano, Terri Lyne Carrington, and David Liebman among others. Sharik Hasan received his master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music in 2014 and currently works in New York City as a pianist, composer, and educator. There is a $12 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: XAVIER "MAMMA" RICE: UNPLUGGED/UNHINGED
Xavier "Mamma" Rice is back at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Thursday, February 19th at 7:00 pm after a successful summer run at 54 BELOW. A consummate storyteller, comedian and singer, Mamma Rice is back with a smaller, sweeter acoustic set featuring Ben Levy of (Lesser Ghost) and a few of his talented friends. After a LONG winters nap, a phone call from Mamma's Mamma is the send off this 45min rambling on faith, friendship, race, revolution and Xtube. A primarily acoustic set, featuring the music of Justin Timberlake, Rufus Wainwright, Jamie Cullum, Fiona Apple and more. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: BEN RIMALOWER DEBUTS NEW PLAY "BAD WITH MONEY"
Ben Rimalower returns with his new play "Bad With Money" to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) running on Wednesdays at 9:30 pm. Ben Rimalower's addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life. In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem - or get rich trying. "Bad With Money" is written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark. Rimalower's first solo show, the long-running hit Patti Issues, explored his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father. Bad with Money delves into even deeper personal territory with the story of his struggle with debt - a journey that takes him through drug addiction, prostitution, fraud and multiple betrayals. There is a $25-$50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: TOVAH FELDSHUH: AGING IS OPTIONAL
Acclaimed Broadway, film and television star Tovah Feldshuh debuts her world premiere show 'Aging Is Optional' at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Thursday through Saturday, February 19th through 21st at 7:00 pm . On the New York stage, besides earning 4 Tony nominations for Best Actress, Ms. Feldshuh won four Drama Desk Awards, four Outer Critics Circle Awards, the Obie, the Theatre World Award, and the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Actress in Golda's Balcony. On the West Coast she received the San Diego's Theatre Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Performance in a Touring Show for Golda's Balcony as well and two Drama Logue awards for her Juliet and her first one woman show: Tovah: A Rush Hour Revue! Most recently, Tovah stopped the show as the trapeze-swinging Berthe in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Pippin. Last season, she played Lady Politic in the acclaimed revival of Ben Jonson's Volpone at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Directed by Jeff Harnar. Musical direction by James Bassi. There is a $50-$100 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
