NYC: BABY JANE DEXTER RETURNS WITH 'RULES OF THE ROAD (PART 3)
Baby Jane Dexter's new show, Rules of the Road,(Part 3) debuts at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) for seven performances, which began on Friday, November 21st. Remaining shows are on Saturday, December 20th and Friday & Saturday, December 26th & 27th. All shows at 7:00 pm. Sharing the stage will be her longtime Musical Director Ross Patterson. Rules of the Road (Part 3) is the latest emotionally empowering and highly-charged show from this influential and beloved cabaret artist who never disappoints. Her shows are filled with memorable anecdotes, through song, from life and a brilliant performing career. Her totally unforgettable song choices have helped make her the local legend she remains today. This new 2014 show will include compelling songs by Rogers & Hammerstein, Cy Coleman & Peggy Lee and Peter Allen & Carol Bayer Sager, as well as songs by Leslie Bricusse, Billy Roy, Leiber & Stoller, Mike Scott, Randy Newman and John Bucchino. As always in her shows, there will be her trademark unexpected twists and turns that laugh at life as well as leaving her audiences emotionally moved. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. Powerhouse singer Marissa Mulder will make her club debut at THE ROYAL ROOM at THE COLONY HOTEL (155 Hammond Avenue, Palm Beach, FL - 561-659-8100) Friday through Tuesday, December 26th through 30th at 8:00 pm. Marissa Mulder grew up in Syracuse, NY. She moved to New York City in 2007 and has gone on to become one of the most successful young cabaret artists on the NY scene. In 2011, she beat out 60 other singers to win the MetroStar Challenge at the Metropolitan Room. She has since performed at all the major clubs in NYC as well as touring throughout the country.
