Amy & Freddy can lay claim to one of the longest running gigs in show biz, as headliners for 14 consecutive years on one of the world's highest profile cruise line companies, RSVP Vacations. Amy is the unforgettable sassy, brassy, saucy, plus sized chanteuse who belts, bowdlerizes, boogies, and bares her soul at the microphone. Freddy, Pianist and Music Director, sometimes joins her in song as the patience-of-a-saint, ivory-tickling sidekick. Theirs is a rare talent to captivate, amuse and enchant! Oleta Adams will perfrom at CATALINA JAZZ CLUB (6725 West Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA - 323-466-2210) on Saturday, December 27th through New Year's Eve, Wednesday, December 31st - call fro showtimes. Since the runaway success of her 1990 debut album Circle of One (which went Platinum), and the impassioned hit single "Get Here" (the Brenda Russell composition that became an unofficial anthem of the 1991 Gulf War) Oleta Adams has inspired a growing legion of fans in the U.S. and Europe with journeys of the heart via songs that draw deeply from her roots in gospel, while crossing effortlessly into the realms of soul, R&B, urban, and popular music.
