TORONTO: SUNDAY CABARET WITH HISAKA
Japanese vocalist Hisaka will perform at THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299) on Sunday, December 28th at 7:00 pm. Hisaka came to Toronto to pursue her music dream in 2011 and became actively involved in the Toronto music scene, including an appearance on Jazz FM 91.1 "One Stop Vocal Jazz Safari." She released her debut album "higher sky" which featured standards and original songs in 2013. The recording was produced by Canadian luminary bassist George Koller. Currently based in Tokyo, hisaka visits Toronto on occasion for performances including a recent appearance at the Artist's Garden. Backed by a superb trio (Mark Kieswetter - piano, George Koller - bass, Davide DiRenzo - drums), she will be making her Jazz Bistro debut. There is a $20 cover.
