NYC: ERIC COMSTOCK AT CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA

Eric Comstock continues his residency at New York's newest music venue, CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) from 8:00 pm to midnight every Tuesday night. An acknowledged master of the American Songbook, Comstock has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and virtually every important nightclub in New York and across the country. He is one of only a handful of singer/pianists who can command a room merely by sitting at the piano, singing and telling stories. In addition to his extensive knowledge of repertoire, Comstock has a seemingly unending supply of anecdotes about the songs, the writers, and the stars who sang them. His unique combination of musicianship, history and charisma creates an experience that is as entertaining as it is musically savvy, and his audiences feel they've been to a terrific party where the music and the stories have been equally great. There is a $20 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: JOSEPHINE SANGES MAKES SOLO DEBUT AT THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Launching her second album, Color Me Blue, Josephine Sanges makes her solo cabaret debut at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Tuesday, December 20th at 7:00 pm. Having performed in concert with "America's Beloved Tenor" Daniel Rodriguez, and opening for such well known singers as famed Irish tenor, Ronan Tynan, she is no stranger to the concert stage. Equally at home in the world of musical theater she has appeared regionally in several leading roles, most notably as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl. Performing at "the MET" with internationally renowned flutist/singer, Laura Intravia and pianist/arranger John M. Cook, Josephine breaks new ground with her first foray into the world of jazz. With new and innovative interpretations of staples from the American Songbook, along with some lesser-known gems from the international music scene, she proves to be a singer/stylist of the first rank. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
