NYC: KAI HOFFMAN: DO IT WHILE YOU CAN
Kai Hoffman, a rising international star who has been compared to legends like Judy Garland, Peggy Lee, and Sarah Vaughan will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, November 23rd at 4:00 pm. She is joined on stage by Tedd Firth, musical director/piano; Tom Hubbard, bass; and;l,; Daniel Glass, drums A resident performer at Europe's oldest jazz club, Ronnie Scott's, for over six years, Kai is bringing her "Do It While You Can" show to New York City for the very first time. With "Do It While You Can", Kai takes her listeners on an intimate and sometimes cheeky journey through lovers, litigation and loss - whilst proving that contagious laughter really is the best medicine. Originally from Boston, Mass., Kai has made her home in London, UK, for over ten years. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Sunday Open Mic comes to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on the 2nd & 4th Sundays each month from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm (signup ay 11:30 am). Presented and hosted by Susan Winter and Deb Berman, the "OPEN MIC AT THE MET" is not your average Open Mic since it will be presented on the iconic stage, with amazing acoustics, high-end equipment, and experienced sound engineer to help create a concert-like experience in Metropolitan Room's friendly, warm environment. Each Open Mic offers different pianists to accompany your performance. There is a $15 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.

Frederick Mann White will perform his show 'Mann to Man' at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Sunday, November 23rd at 4:00 pm. When Fred White (Frederick Mann White) did a cabaret show on his 50th Birthday for his friends and family, he mentioned his desire to do a show about the right to love who you want to love. He said to the audience, "Since my middle name is Mann, wouldn't it be great to call the show Mann to Man"? Well, eight years later, here it is. This show is a variety of songs displaying his love and everyone's right to love and marry. With Michael Ferreri- musical director and accompanist.
