CABARET TONIGHT IN NEW JERSEY: MARLENE VER PLANCK AT SHANGHAI JAZZ
Jazz vocalist Marlene Ver Planck will be performing at SHANGHAI JAZZ (24 Main Street, Madison, NJ - 973-822-2899) on Sunday, December 1st starting at 6:00 pm. Marlene got her start in the big-band business, as a very young vocalist with Charlie Spivak and Tex Beneke. During a brief stint with the last Dorsey Brothers Orchestra, she met her future husband, musician-arranger Billy VerPlanck. Marlene performs across North America and much of Western Europe, while a growing roster of solo CDs continues to win critical acclaim. The albums feature exciting arrangements scored by her late husband, Billy VerPlanck, with accompaniment by many of America's finest musicians. There is no cover charge.
