NYC: SALLY MAYES & MARK WINKLER PLAYIN' IT COOL
Tony nominee Sally Mayes (She Loves Me, Steel Magnolias, Closer Than Ever), and Platinum award-winning jazz singer/songwriter Mark Winkler join forces for an evening of tunes on the swingin' side at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Wednesday, February 9th at 9:30 pm. Last year, Sally received rave notices in the off-Broadway production of Play It Cool, for which Mark contributed the lyrics. This year, Mark and Sally present an evening full of standards & originals, (including some tunes from Play It Cool!) Backed by the David Libby Trio, it's the perfect mixture of Broadway and jazz! "Cool" has never sounded so hot! There is a $25-$35 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
