NE: AMAZING THINGS OPEN MIC WITH STEPHEN SMITH
Every second Wednesday of the month Leslie Holmes hosts an amazing Open Mic night at the AMAZING THINGS ARTS CENTER(160 Hollis Street, Framingham, MA - 508-405-2787), and each show features a special guest. On Wednesday, January 9th the featured guest will be Stephen Smith. Vocalist Stephen Smith is a singer with a natural style and compelling baritone voice, free of affectation and with distinctive and subtle phrasing. A Massachusetts native, Stephen's favorite songs are those from the Great American Songbook, a group of songs that have defined the depth and intimacies of American Culture for generations. Pianist for the open mic is Tom LaMark. The open-mic starts at 7:00 pm (signup at 6:30 pm), and the featured performers go on at 8:10 pm. There is an $10 cover charge ($9 cover for BACA members).
