DC: BLUES ALLEY PRESENTS THE LENNY MARCUS TRIO
The Lenny Marcus Trio will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Wednesday, January 9th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Lenny Marcus hails from Washington, DC, beginning his jazz career studying with Ray Bryant, then moving to New Orleans where he worked for many years, studying with legends Ellis Marsalis & Alvin Batiste. He then went on to record as a back up pianist with a host of stellar jazz artists, including David "Fathead" Newman, Charlie Byrd, Frank Foster, Sonny Fortune, Brian Lynch, Jane Powell and many others. His band is a well schooled jazz group. Call for cover/minimum information.
