LA: KRITZERLAND PRESENTS: THE SONGS OF JERRY BOCK & SHELDON HARNICK

LA: KRITZERLAND PRESENTS: THE SONGS OF JERRY BOCK & SHELDON HARNICK

The 29th Kritzerland show "The Songs of Jerry Bock & Sheldon Harnick" will be presented on Sunday, January 6th at 7:00 pm atSTERLING'S AT THE FEDERAL (5303 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA - 818-754-8700). The show is a tribute to one of the greatest composer and lyricist teams to ever write for Broadway - the great Bock and Harnick, whose collaboration resulted in Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me, The Apple Tree, Mr. Wonderful, The Rothschilds, Fiorello, Tenderloin and The Body Beautiful. Sadly, their final show, The Rothschilds, was contentious and broke up the team, but they left behind a body of work that continues to shine to this day. Producer Bruce Kimmel has recorded many of their songs as well as putting out the revival cast recording of their classic She Loves Me. For this show, Bruce has assembled the usual cast of great singers, and our very special guest star, Hal Linden, who won a Tony Award for his performance in The Rothschilds. Performers scheduled to perform include Dan Callaway (Broadway National Company: The Phantom of the Opera; Musical Theare Guild's Titanic); Michael Hawkins (Georges, La Cage Aux Folles; Sky Masterson, Guys & Dolls; Frank, Merrily We Roll Along); Heather Lee (Broadway: Gypsy, Tessie Tura; Guys and Dolls, Adelaide; 1st Nat'l Tour: Babette, Beauty & The Beast); Lisa Livesay (Nat'l Tour, Wicked, Glinda; Monteen, Parade, Center Theatre Group; Tribute to Alan Menken, NY); Jane Noseworthy (Reprise: Carrie, Carousel; Rosanna, Serrano; Hope, Urinetown; Disney,The Princess & The Frog); Jenna Rosen (Duffy in Annie, Carpenter Performing Arts Center; Outside The Box's The Exorcist, The Musical); Sami Staitman (Annie, Annie; Young Cosette, Les Miserables; Shirley Temple, Singin' in the Rain, Cabrillo); Sarah Staitman (Olive, 25th Annual Spelling Bee; Matilda, Willy Wonka, Jr.; Nellie, Annie Get Your Gun). Musical Director: Lloyd Cooper. There is $15 cover plus a $10 food/drink minimum.
