NYC: JOHNNY RODGERS BAND CD RELEASE PARTY AT 54 BELOW
The internationally celebrated Johnny Rodgers Band will perform at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC on 646-476-3551 on ) on Monday, November 12th at9:30 pm. The show will celebrate the release of their latest CD, Celebrating "Legends of American Music, Vol 1". The band, featuring Brian Glassman on bass; Danny Mallon on drums, vocals; Joe Ravo on guitar; Johnny Rodgers on piano, vocals, harmonica, keys. Special Guest will be Randy Brecker on trumpet, flugelhorn, dazzles audiences with their enthusiastic musical melange of Americana, featuring Johnny's original songs and classic favorites made popular by Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Johnny Mercer and others. The Band tours internationally as music ambassadors for the U.S. State Department's renowned Rhythm Road and Musical Overtures programs. Liza Minnelli frequently calls on Johnny's talent, presenting him on her world tours and also featuring him on Broadway as singer, dancer, pianist and songwriter in the Tony award-winning Liza's At The Palace. Johnny has earned the Nightlife Award for Outstanding Cabaret Vocalist and many songwriting awards including the Billboard World Song Contest. There is a $20-$30 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
