NYC: MISS COCO PERU: THERE COMES A TIME
Miss Coco Peru returns to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) for three shows only, on Thursday, Saturday & Sunday, November 3rd, 5th & 6th, all shows at 7:30 pm. Legions of Coco-philes know that Miss Peru's acclaimed solo shows fearlessly explore all facets of human nature, expertly turning darkness into illumination. This time she's decided to do something a little different, a bit lighter, a night of pure fun. Thus, MISS COCO PERU: THERE COMES A TIME begins at her friend Bea Arthur's memorial at The Majestic Theatre (Coco's Broadway debut!), segues into her turn as the HIV-positive drag queen Angel in the original backers audition of Rent, and continues on with a litany of wryly pointed observations of life as only Miss Coco Peru can deliver.
