NYC: JAMIE DEROY & FRIENDS KICKS OFF 20TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON TONIGHT
Celebrated cabaret performer Jamie deRoy celebrates the 20th Anniversary Season of her Multi MAC Award-winning variety show, Jamie deRoy & friends on Tuesday, October 19th at 8:00 pm at THE TRIAD (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) the same cabaret room (formerly Steve McGraw's) where she premiered her first show! The milestone season will include cabaret dates throughout the year, with new guests and guests from over the last 20 years of cabaret nights - including film clips from their original appearances on Jamie's show. Her opening show of the series will feature The Accidentals, John Forster, Judy Gold, Jay Leonhart, Benjamin Levy and Heather MacRae. The colorful cabaret series, which has been thrilling New York City audiences for the past 19 years and serves as the basis for deRoy's award-winning cable television show, spotlights a wide variety of well-known entertainers and newcomers lighting up the cabaret, theater, and comedy worlds. Jamie deRoy has won eight MAC Awards, four Bistro Awards, ten Telly Awards for her extensive work on both stage and screen. She has appeared onstage with Joan Rivers and has headlined at many of New York's major clubs. She has produced eight CDs in the Jamie deRoy & friends series on the Harbinger and PS Classics labels.
