NYC: MARQUEE FIVE RETURNS WITH "8-TRACK THROWBACK"

Following a MAC Award-winning run of their debut act, "We Can Make It: The Songs Of Kander & Ebb", the vocal group Marquee Five brings a brand new show, "8-Track Throwback", to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - ) for five performances in September & October. "8-Track Throwback" pays tribute to the singer/songwriters of the 60s and 70s with all new arrangements by Adam West Hemming with the voices of Mick Bleyer, Adam West Hemming, Vanessa Parvin, Sierra Rein and Julie Reyburn. Remaining performances are scheduled for Saturday, September 25th at 4:30 pm; Saturday, October 2nd at 6:00 pm; and Saturday, October 16th at 6:00 pm. Featuring audience favorites from Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Leonard Cohen and more, "8-Track Throwback" is a re-imagined and joyous celebration of the music that takes you back. Directed by Joseph Ward with Musical Direction by Adam West Hemming . BMI/Bistro Award winner jazz/cabaret vocalist Linda Kosut returns to New York City with a one-night-only performance at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - ) on Sunday, September 26th at 8:15 pm. Having just completed a successful 4-show run at San Francisco's prestigious nightclub, The Rrazz Room, Linda brings a "tasting" of each of those shows to New York - a "flight" of the unexpected - blending jazz, folk and cabaret styles into sparking renditions of songs by songwriters as diverse as Peggy Lee to Tom Paxton to Annie Lennox. Linda is known for this seamless weaving of genres and styles with her uniquely warm, dark sound.
