NYC: KAREN OBERLIN & SEAN HARKNESS AT PANGEA

Karen Oberlin and Sean Harkness reunite at New York's exquisite new venue: CAFE NOCTAMBULO AT PANGEA (178 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-995-0900) on Fridays & Saturdays, November 7th & 8th and 14th & 15th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. The pair won rave reviews when they performed at 54 BELOW and THE METROPOLITAN ROOM, and now they've added some new tunes to match the great food and ambiance of this new East Village boite. NYC: THE DANA LORGE VARIETY SHOW AT THE MET

The Dana Lorge Variety show returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, November 14th at 7:00 pm. She is joined by Barry Levitt at the piano and Jon Burr on bass. For November, Dana has as her special guests Warren Schein, Karen Wyman, Nancy Witter, Dora Rubin, Tanya Moberly, and Sue Matsuki & Edd Clark. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: ATHENA REICH PRESENTS #ARTBIRTH

Tribute artist Athena Reich stars as Lady Gaga in #ARTBIRTH, an outrageous evening of art and pop at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Saturday, November 8th and Friday, November 14th at 7:00 pm. The show is co-written and directed by Jack Trinco. #ARTBIRTH combines vaudevillian comedy with ARTPOP outrageousness. The premise is that Lady Gaga is pregnant and she has decided to give birth in front of her most devoted fans - the ultimate performance art piece. Full of dancing, singing and barfing, #ARTBIRTH will revolutionize the way you think about babies, motherhood and life after birth. Come and see Gaga's baby be Born This Way. Athena Reich is a crowd favorite who's received acclaim from "little monsters" and even Gaga herself. The concept behind Pregnant Gaga was birthed when Athena starting undergoing infertility treatments and wondered, "What if Gaga was pregnant?" Call for cover/minimum information.

Dallas DuBois and her merry band of drag stars put a bawdy twist on some of your favorite pop culture icons in a series of cult hit pop culture revues whicj run on alternate Fridays at 10:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). The group presents the Magic Kindom themed DISTORTED DIZNEE, the Great White Way tribute DISTORTED BROADWAY and the new Silver Screen inspired DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD. This trio of Las Vegas-style drag extravaganzas feature drag stars Holly Dae, Bootsie LeFaris, Pixie Aventura, Brenda Dharling, Dallas DuBois and more. For the holidays, they will present DISTORTED KRISTMESS, all of your holiday favorites are run past a dirty funhouse mirror. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. NYC: SOME OTHER TIME - A CABARET WITH HERRON, SPARKS & MCWHORTER

Herron, Sparks & McWhorter present 'Some Other Time' at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE(61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438)on Friday, November 14th at 7:00 pm. Ashley Herron and Micah Freedman, veterans of John McWhorter's long-running New Faces series, do a compilation of duets and solos with McWhorter at the piano and as emcee, with cameo work and ensemble contribution by McWhorter and the lovely Martha Sparks. There is a $10 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THERAPY AT THE DUPLEX

Actor/Singers Amy Marik & Alan B. Smith clebrate their duet debut at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Friday, November 14th at 9:30 pm. In their show 'Therapy' they will be performing songs from a wide range of musical theatre genres and popular songs as they work through the gauntlets of relationships. Amy Marik is an up and coming performer living in New York City. She graduated The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, located on the upper west side. Amy's voice is said to resemble Ethel Merman in its essence.Alan is a New Jersey native who also graduated from AMDA There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: PATTI LUPONE - FAR AWAY PLACES PART TWO 

Two-time Tony Award winner and 54 Below favorite Patti LuPone returns to 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Monday through Thursday, November 3rd through 6th; Saturday, November 8th; Monday through Saturday, November 10th through 15th, all shows at 7:00 pm; There is an additional show added on Saturday, November 15th at 9:30 pm. She will present 'Part Two of Far Away Places', the show which she premiered to critical acclaim when 54 Below opened in June 2012. In this continuation of the show (which will include a few encores from the landmark Part One) she further explores her wanderlust, performing songs by an eclectic group of songwriters including Irving Caesar, Billy Joel, David Yazbek, Johnny Mercer and Kris Kristofferson. There is an $85-$160 cover plus a $30 food/drink minimum. 

NYC: POP NATION SINGS BOY BANDS AND POP PRINCESSES

On Friday, November 14th at 9:30 pm the cast of the forthcoming production Pop Nation will gather at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) to sing the greatest hits of their favorite late 90s boy bands and pop princesses. Audiences can expect to hear their favorite tunes by the Backstreet Boys, *NSync, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin, Kelly Clarkson, and more as this close-knit cast celebrates one of the greatest eras in Pop Music history. The cast includes Robert Hager (Spring Awakening, Bye Bye Birdie), Lauren Zakrin (Rock of Ages; Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), Austin Colby (Smokey Joe's Cafe), Chris Dwan (Harmony, Oklahoma!), Isabelle ("This Is Me," American Idol), Tony nominee Jonathan C. Kaplan (Falsettos), Aashley Morgan (Rent), Jennifer Noble (Ghost), Thom Sesma (The Times They Are A Changin', Man Of La Mancha), Mack Shirilla (Big River, Children of Eden), Michael Tacconi (A Little More Alive), Josh Tolle (Next to Normal) and Tashiana Washington ("Gimme The Loot"). American Idol's Anthony Fedorov (Rent, Les Miserables) will appear in a very special on-screen video performance. The evening will be produced and music directed by Benjamin Rauhala. There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: JOHN PIZZARELLI & JESSICA MOLASKEY AT THE CAFE

The acclaimed husband-wife jazz duo of John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey return to THE CAFE CARLYLE (35 East 76th Street, NYC - 212-744-1600) for a 4-week run on Tuesday, October 28th through Saturday, November 22nd at 8:45 pm, with a late show on Saturdays at 10:45 pm. Their new show is called 'Grown Up Songs' and features songs by Stephen Sondheim, Johnny Mercer, Paul McCartney, Alan Jay Lerner, Adam Guettel, Billy Joel and more. They will be joined by a band including Kevin Kanner on drums, Martin Pizzarelli on double bass and Konrad Paszkudzki on piano. As always, John Pizzarelli will play guitar. There is a $55-$185 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
