Coles is truly a renaissance woman. Best known for her zany characters and outrageous sense of humor, Kim Coles began her journey to Hollywood when she was announced the runner-up in the "Big Beautiful Woman" pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She then rode her beauty pageant success into a plus-size modeling career and ultimately began performing as a stand-up comedian, which eventually turned into a showbiz career that has continued to skyrocket. Perhaps best known for her five-season turn as the unforgettable "Synclaire" on FOX's groundbreaking comedy series, Living Single, Coles has appeared on numerous hit television shows and she continues performing on comedy club stages across the nation. Her first one-hour comedy special debuts in Fall 2014 as part of the "Off The Chain Presents" for Bounce TV. Oh But Wait, There's More! chronicles the ebb and flow of Kim Coles' showbiz rise with Hollywood - insider stories, multi-media features and even an interpretive dance number! After Fox's hit comedy Living Single got cancelled, Kim realized that nothing compares to the free food, personalized parking spaces, and sweet perks of showbiz success. WASHINGTON, DC: KESIVAN & KYLE : SOUTH AFRICA VS DC

Drummer Kesivan Naidoo and pianist Kyle Shepard bring their show 'Kesivan & Kyle : South Africa vs DC' to BOHEMIAN CAVERNS(2001 Eleventh Street N.W., Washington, DC - 202-299-0800) on Thursday, November 13th at 8:00 pm. Few musicians bring the experience of freedom - of living in a world that is open and limitless - as intimately, dangerously close as South African jazz drummer and composer Kesivan Naidoo. His idiosyncratic style has its roots in his youth in South Africa. One of the first non-white students in a formerly white school, Kes grew up in the 1990s, surrounded by grunge rock heads. For a laatie (youngster) who fell in love with jazz at the tender age of ten and who was performing professionally by 14. Born into South Africa's so-called Y Generation - a "freedom's children" that got to celebrate the liberation their parents fought so hard for - as a drummer and composer he's always been conscious of the need to forge a new musical identity. Kyle Shepherd, one of South Africa's leading progressive pianists and composers of his generation, is fast gaining international recognition for his distinctive compositional style and performances. The 2014 Standard Bank Young Artist of the Year Award winner for Jazz already has a well-established record of celebrated performances in South Africa, Europe, Asia and the USA. As a pianist, Xaru player (traditional mouth-bow) and composer, Shepherd has forged a unique compositional and performance concept that pays homage to all his musical influences and the many great musicians he has worked with, all while continuing to look forward musically in a way. There is a $15 cover.
