NEW HOPE, PA: FAITH PRINCE & JASON GRAAE "THE PRINCE AND THE SHOWBOY" 

Faith Prince & Jason Graae bring their show "The Prince And The Showboy" to THE RRAZZ ROOM IN NEW HOPE (6426 Lower York Road, New Hope, PA - 888-596-1027) for one night only on Saturday, October 4th at 8:00 pm. The Prince and the Showboy unites Tony Award Winner Faith Prince and L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award Winner Jason Graae in a delightful evening of song. Veterans of 13 Broadway shows between them, this pair takes to the concert stage singing their most requested and memorable Broadway numbers. The show features a heartfelt tribute to Broadway legend Jerry Herman, who has been a significant influence on each of them, both personally and professionally. Join Prince and Graae, two of Broadway's finest (and funniest) performers, for an evening you won't soon forget. Phil Reno is Musical Director. Call for cover/minimum information. 

WASHINGTON, DC: RACHELLE FERREL AT BLUES ALLEY

Rachelle Ferrell will perform at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Thursday through Sunday, October 2nd through 5th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Rachelle began singing at the age of six, which contributed to the "development of her startling six-and-change octave range" her range also includes the ability to reach the whistle register. She received classical training on violin at an early age and by the time she was a teen, she was able to play the piano at a professional level. She is most noted for her talents as a contemporary jazz singer. Her spellbinding, mesmerizing 'live' performances are typical Ferrell fare. 

WASHINGTON, DC: DAVELL CRAWFORD - THE PRINCE OF NEW ORLEANS 

Davell Crawford, aka The Prince of New Orleans, will perform at BOHEMIAN CAVERNS (2001 Eleventh Street N.W., Washington, DC - 202-299-0800) on Friday & Saturday, October 3rd & 4th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Crawford has been playing piano since he was seven and first toured Europe in his early teens. Davell is the godson of the iconic Roberta Flack and the grandson of the great vocalist/pianist/composer James "Sugar Boy" Crawford of "Jock-A-Mo" fame giving reason for the honesty, passion, and ample rhythm and blues that also fills his soul. Acclaimed as the "Piano Prince of New Orleans," Crawford brings equal exuberance to both modern and classic jazz, rhythm and blues, funk, blues, gospel, soul, pop, American folk and touches of country- western. Growing up in New Orleans and presently residing there and in New York City plus spending many youthful days in Southwest Louisiana, Crawford's influences run the gamut from Fats Domino to Sarah Vaughan, to Patsy Cline and even Liberace. In the tradition of those from the Crescent City who came before him, Crawford also believes in the art of entertainment. He'll get up from the piano, move to the apron of a stage, prance, joke and make folks feel at home. Call for cover/minimum information.


BETHESDA, MD: THE LARRY BROWN QUINTET AT BETHESDA BLUES 

The Larry Brown Quintet will perform at BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Saturday, October 4th at 8:00 pm. Pianist Larry Brown leads one of the most accomplished straight-ahead jazz groups in the Mid-Atlantic area, having performed at An Die Musik, Blues Alley, the Meyerhoff, the Kennedy Center, the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, East Coast Jazz Festival, Alexandria Jazz Festival, Martha's Vineyard Jazz Festival, Twins Jazz, Bohemian Caverns, the King Of France Tavern, Chris' Jazz Cafe, the New Haven Lounge, Caton Castle, and the Black Rock Center for the Arts. Members of the group include Larry Brown (piano), Kent Miller (bass), Mark Prince (drums), Thad Wilson (trumpet), Peter Fraize (tenor sax), and special guest Sharon Clark (vocals). The Quintet will perform tunes by Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Art Blakey, Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, Oscar Pettiford, Hank Mobley and Ellis Marsalis among others. There is a $20 cover.
