NYC: DAWN DEROW IS "LEGIT" 

Singer / Songwriter Dawn Derow performs at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, September 26th at 9:30 pm with her new show 'Dawn Derow is "Legit"'. A Classical Cabaret, she revisits the Opera Arias that helped shape her voice, musicality, style, and stage presence. With Mark Janus, Musical Director and Lina Koutrakos, Director. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: FARMER'S EYES ON CITY SKIES: THE MUSIC OF LEO HURLEY

'Farmer's Eyes on City Skies: The Music of Leo Hurley' will be presented at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Friday, September 26th at 7:00 pm. College Television Award-winning composer Leo Hurley makes his cabaret debut with selections from his 100+ songbook. Bringing his music to life will be Bridgette Craw, Sydney Shepherd, Angela Shultz, Tripp Fountain, Sam Durant Hunter and Mick Bleyer accompanied on the piano by Matthew Stephens. There is a $5 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME! WITH KAREN HOLT

An intimate musical journey featuring a range of styles from Dolly Parton to Gershwin to Alanis Morissette and a few Broadway melodies for kicks will be presented by Karen Holt at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Friday, September 26th at 7:00 pm. It's about damn time you make that move. It's about damn time you started dating again. It's about damn time you get it together and stop feeling sorry for yourself. In Karen Holt's debut Cabaret, she puts her "big girl panties" on and tells the story of her realization that though we may have chips and cracks, we are not broken .... It's about damn time! There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE BEST OF DINA MARTINA AT THE BEECHMAN

Dina Martina will bring her show THE BEST OF DINA MARTINA to THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Thursday through Sunday, September 25th through 28th at 7:00 pm. The show is a nearly indescribable night of unique entertainment that assaults the senses like no other show. Once again, Dina offers a delightful blend of unequaled song, unnecessary dance, unattractive costumes, and unbelievable video. NYC: CELEBRATING ADOLPH GREEN AT 54 BELOW

54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) will celebrate the genius of Adolph Green in this, his centennial year on Thursday through Saturday, September 25th through 27th at 7:00 pm. A rotating cast of Broadway greats will present a three night musical soiree to pay tribute to this legendary master of his craft. In a career that spanned six decades and seven Tony Awards, Adolph Green and Betty Comden produced a body of work that is unparalleled in the American theatre: Wonderful Town. Bells Are Ringing, Singin' in the Rain, On the Town, The Will Rogers Follies, The Bandwagon, On the Twentieth Century, Applause, Subways Are For Sleeping! And that's just the tip of the iceberg! Hosted by Klea Blackhurst. Guests for Sept 26th: Tony Yazbeck, Jay Armstrong Johnson, John Rando, Jessica Phillips, Karen Akers, Betsy Wolfe, Melanie Vaughan, Michael Rupert, Carole J. 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) will help you relive and discover the timeless music of the '60s music legends on Friday, September 26th at 9:30 pm. Represented will be such as The Mamas and the Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, Woody Guthrie, Peter Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan and many others in this powerful concert event. These artists spent their years communicating personal, political and social imperatives by way of their impeccably crafted songs, harmonies,and lyrics combined with humor and passion. Back by popular demand, join Broadway actor-singer-recording artists Michael Lanning (Bonnie and Clyde, Civil War), Alison Lory (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Carnegie Hall), along with Neeley Bridges and Andy Jobe (Walking for Pennies) singing in harmony the poetic lyrics of songs including, "Blowin in the Wind", "Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There is a Season), Puff the Magic Dragon and "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin Groovy)". Audience participation encouraged but not mandatory. NYC: THE SKIVVIES RETURN TO 54 BELOW

The comedy-pop duo The Skivies, return to 54 BELOW(254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Friday, September 26th at 11:30 pm. The pair - Lauren Molina (Marry Me a Little, Sweeney Todd, Rock of Ages) and Nick Cearley (Pageant, All Shook Up) - don't just strip down their musical arrangements, they literally strip down to their underwear to perform their distinctive mashups and eccentric originals for cello and ukulele, with touches of glockenspiel, melodica, and a surprising array of under-used instrumentsThey will be joined by special guest stars who will strip down and rock out. Expect a hilarious evening of genre-hopping pop perfection. NYC: STACY SULLIVAN IS "ON THE AIR" A SALUTE TO MARIAN MCPARTLAND 

On Friday through Sunday, September 26th through 28th, acclaimed vocalist Stacy Sullivan, winner of the Nightlife, Bistro, and MAC Award for Outstanding Female New York Debut, pays tribute to Marian McPartland with the New York debut of "On the Air" at THE YORK THEATRE at Saint Peter's Church (619 Lexington Avenue, NYC - 212-935-5820 ext. 25)! Check their website for details. Legendary jazz pianist Marian McPartland (1918-2013) left a body of work as a performer and composer rivaled only by her advocacy of the art form. As host of "Piano Jazz," she led the longest running cultural program in the history of National Public Radio, interviewing and performing with the giants of 20th century jazz. "On the Air" weaves storytelling and performances of some of the most beloved works from the American Songbook into a fascinating portrait of an Englishwoman who became an American jazz tastemaker. Featuring music of Duke Ellington, Richard Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim, Willie Nelson, and, of course, Marian herself. Call for cover/minimum information.
