Mark Winkler, platinum award-winning jazz vocalist/lyricist and Cheryl Bentyne, member of The Manhattan Transfer, will perform at MARTINI'S ABOVE FOURTH (3940 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA - 619-400-4500 - ) on Thursday, August 21st at 8:00 pm. This duo is intent on proving how cool the West Coast Cool Jazz scene of the 50s still is. Together and separately they perform songs by Dave Brubeck, Chet Baker, Julie London and Bobby Troup (to name a few); all the while, weaving never before heard stories of the original cast of "West Coast Cool" throughout the evening. Alexis has the ability to enchant, fascinate, and thrill an audience by the quality of her performance, the intelligence of her program, the unexpected intensity of her charisma, and that je ne se quois •which at the end of the evening equate to "total entertainment satisfaction."
