TORONTO: AURA WITH THE BERNIE SENENSKY TRIO
THE JAZZ BISTRO (251 Victoria Street, Toronto, ONT, CA - 416-363-5299 ) welcomes one of Romania's most important voices in jazz, Aura, on Tuesday, August 19th at 8:00 pm. Aura's career highlights include bringing Carnegie Hall to its feet in concert with Duke Ellington, touring the USA and Japan with Quincy Jones, and recording with the Thad Jones & Mel Lewis Orchestra. She has won accolades of superlative reviews from the likes of Downbeat Magazine, Coda Magazine, Toronto Star, The New Yorker, Starweek, New York Times, The Great American Popular Singers, and The Grove International Encyclopedia of Jazz. Aura is is the winner of the European Press Prize at the prestigious International Europe Cup Festival at Knocke, Belgium. There is a $15 cover.
