NEW HOPE, PA: LINDA LAVIN "POSSIBILITES" WITH BILLY STRITCH

Linda Lavin brings her show "Possibilites" to THE RRAZZ ROOM IN NEW HOPE (6426 Lower York Road, New Hope, PA - 888-596-1027) on Friday & Saturday, July 10th & 11th at 8":00 pm. Billy Stritch is musical director. Lavin won a Tony in 1987 for her show Broadway Bound. Her other Broadway credits include The Lyons, Collected Stories, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Hollywood Arms and The Diary of Anne Frank. She appeared in the acclaimed off-Broadway productions of Other Desert Cities, Wet Paint and Death Defying Acts. Lavin is best known to TV audiences for the title role in Alice. HERNDON, VA: NEXTSTOP THEATRE SUMMER CABARET SERIES OPENS JULY 11th

NextStop Theatre Company has announced the next bold, new offering in their ambitious inaugural season at NEXTSTOP THEATRE (269 Sunset Park Drive, Herndon, VA - 866-811-4111). Under the leadership of Series Producer, area based performing artist Jim Van Slyke, the company will present eighteen intimate concerts, featuring a eclectic mixture of Broadway stars, nationally acclaimed cabaret artists and some of the finest local singers in the DC Metropolitan area. WASHINGTON, DC: MARCUS JOHNSON AT BLUES ALLEY

Award-winning keyboardist, composer and producer Marcus Johnson will appear atBLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Thursday through Sunday, July 10th through 13th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Johnson released his 12th CD titled, "This is How I Rock", in 2011. This album boldly signifies an evolution: Johnson's deliberate crossing into the pop/rock genre with a jazz spin, inspired by some of pop music's most celebrated songs, songs that remained a significant influence in the life of the and motivated his desire to pay tribute to some of the greatest pop hits. Marcus has performed at clubs throughout the United States and has been a featured performer at many jazz festivals, including his hometown Capitol Jazz Festival, the Bermuda Jazz Festival, Atlantic Artscape, the Latin Meets Jazz Festival and the Huntington Beach Jazz Festival. WASHINGTON, DC: CORY HENRY OF SNARKY PUPPY AT BOHEMIAN CAVERNS

2014 Grammy Award Winner for Best R&B Performance Cory Henry will perform atBOHEMIAN CAVERNS(2001 Eleventh Street N.W., Washington, DC - 202-299-0800) on Friday, July 11th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. Cory Henry is a milti-instrumentalist and producer with a catalog worthy of a man twice his age. His primary instrument is the organ, and he began playing at the age of two. In 2010 he co-produced Jay White's Larger than Life; later that year he released his first album Christmas With You, which featured his lively renditions of Christmas classics and prominently showcases his skill as an improviser. Kim Burrell's Grammy nominated and Steller Award winning Love album released n 2011 boasted several tracks that he wrote and produced. He is currently touring with "Snarky Puppy" and lending his considerable talent to the production of several projects for other artists. There is a $15 cover.

BETHESDA, MD: DANCE NIGHT WITH BROADSOUND AT BETHESDA BLUES

BroadSound, a thrilling 10 piece band who has wowed private audiences and celebrities over the last four years, will perform atBETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB (7719 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD - 240-330-4500) on Friday, July 11th at 8:00 pm. They perform all styles from Top 40 & Hip Hop to Big Band and Latin. BroadSound was chosen as the band for President Barack Obama and the DNC national convention, and has performed for artists such as Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters. Members of BroadSound have performed along side Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, George Duke, Kirk Whalum, Erika Badu, Envogue and The Temptations to name a few.
