NYC: THE NEW YORK SHEET MUSIC SOCIETY IS NOW THE AMERICAN POPULAR SONG SOCIETY
THE NEW YORK SHEET MUSIC SOCIETY, established in 1980, has a new name: THE AMERICAN POPULAR SONG SOCIETY as they move into the future! They will continue presenting their monthly meetings and programs. The first meeting of the 2015-2016 season will be held on Saturday, October 10th at LOCAL 802 MUSICIANS' HALL (322 West 48th Street, NYC). The event opens at 12:30 pm with a flea market where you can buy and/or trade sheet music and memorabilia. The show, featuring renowned crooner Todd Murray, runs from 1:45 to 3:30 pm. You can join the society, entitling you to nine fabulous programs/meetings online at http://www.AmericanPopularSongSociety.org/ for only $50 per year, newsletters issued from October through June. Non-member guest fee is $10 per meeting (cash only).
