NYC: JUDY & LIZA AT DON'T TELL MAMA!

Now in it's 5th Year, "Judy and Liza Together Again", starring internationally acclaimed entertainers Rick Skye and Tommy Femia, named "Best Duo" in 2012 by MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets), has been Extended Again at DON'T TELL MAMA(343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) with the next performance scheduled for Saturday, September 26th at 8:00 pm. Musical Director: Ricky Ritzel (as Mort/Pappy). Teaming up for an evening of "Just POW!", these MAC and Bistro Award winning performers pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/daughter team in show biz history. Tommy Femia is a 7 time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Award for his brilliant portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy Garland LIVE!", now in it's 20th season at Don't Tell Mama. He has also starred in "Whoop-de-doo", "I Will Come Back" and, most recently, "Norma Does Men". Rick Skye is a multi award winning performer, who has written a string of outrageous comic revues including "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka" (Bistro Award winning performance), "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable", "The War of the Mama Roses", "It's Madame with an E" (performed with his indefatigable co-star - the one and only Madame), "Barbra and Liza LIVE!" (Leicester Theater and Dublin Theatre Festival) and the International hit - "A Slice O' Minnelli" (MAC Award - Best Impersonation) which has enjoyed successful season's in Covent Garden, at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End and at the Dublin Theatre Festival where he received the Award for "Best Achievement in Performance". "Judy and Liza Together Again" premiered at The Rising Action Theater in Ft. Lauderdale to great acclaim and has since toured the Richmond Triangle Theater, Actors Theater of Minnesota, The Palace Theater in Danbury, Connecticut and Martini's Over Eighth in San Diego. Two of NYC cabaret's most popular artists', Marcus Simeone and Maria Ottavia, will pay musical tribute to the iconic songs of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein ll in their brand new duet concert, Rodgers, Hart & Hammerstein at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) with performances on Saturday, October 3rd; Sunday, October 11th; and Sunday, November 15th, all shows at 7:00 pm. The series will also celebrate Don't Tell Mama on its 30th anniversary. Multi-award winner Tracy Stark will be at the piano along with Marco Brehm on bass. Maria Ottavia has been a professional singer since she was a teen. Her credits are long and diverse. Her beautiful soprano has been praised by critics'. Marcus Simeone has risen to become one of today's most versatile singer/ songwriter/ recording artists on the club scene today. NYC: "I NEVER KNOW WHEN TO SAY WHEN" AT THE BEECHMAN

"I Never Know When To Say When" starring Anita Michael, will be presented at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) on Friday & Saturday, October 2nd & 3rd at 7:00 pm. Musical Director is Dennis Buck. The show is directed by Miriam Fond. Anita's show centers around musings on love from a woman of a certain age. There is a $15 cover plus a $20 food/drink minimum.

NYC: LE SCANDAL CABARET CONTINUES AT THE BEECHMAN

NYC's longest running burlesque variety show, LE SCANDAL CABARET, continues on Saturdays, at 10:30 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATRE (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). In its fourteenth year, Le Scandal features variety acts, circus performers, live music and a bevy of burlesque beauties. New performers every week! Expect sword swallowers, belly dancers, rope trick cowboys, contortionists, torch singing fan dancers and comedic aerobats, all set to the live music of the Le Scandal Orchestra. NYC: AMY SCHWEGEL: ONCE IN LOVE WITH AMY...

Amy Schwegel will bring her show "Once In Love With Amy..." to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, October 3rd at 1:00 pm. Musical Director is Don Rebic and the show is directed by Barbara Grecki. Amy will lead you through her rabbit hole of detours. She slips, slides and gets jolted into life choices that are full of surprises. Roads that twist and turn yet always lead her back to where she belongs, the stage. Once in Love with Amy ... Always in Love with Amy. Amy has performed regionally, as well as in New York and most recently worked with director Lonny Price on Sweeney Todd at London's English National Opera. Her love for the Great American Songbook and the golden age of musical theater combined with her sheer joy for performing makes her a shoo-in to reemerge to the theater world with a vengeance after a fun detour with the Theatre Division of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. There is a $24 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: ANN DAWSON - TRAVELING SOLO

Ann Dawson returns to the THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 ) in her new show 'Traveling Solo' on Saturday, October 3rd at 4:00 pm. Directed by Barry Kleinbort and with music direction by Don Rebic, 'Traveling Solo' is comprised of humorous and poignant tales and tunes celebrating life on and off the road. As a singer Ann has performed internationally in leading supper clubs and hotels winning critical acclaim in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, England, South America and Australia. She has also appeared Off Broadway in Literary Disruption, Mamaleh! and Dorothy Parker: A Montage and in regional/stock productions of Follies, Cabaret, Annie Get Your Gun, Zorba, My Fat Friend, Fiddler on the Roof and Funny Girl. Other credits include television appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Last of the Ninth (HBO Pilot/David Milch) and Ryan's Hope as well as the feature film Sordid Things. Now she once again joins New York's cabaret scene. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum. 

NYC: KRISTINE MILLS - CD RELEASE AT THE MET

Award-winning vocalist and songwriter, Kristine Mills celebrates the release of her 6th cd, BOSSAtoo at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 ) on Saturday, October 3rd at 7:00 pm. BossaToo includes the range of styles within Brazilian music. The challenge of exploring the range within the Brazilian context propelled Mills to write variations on Samba (3/4 and classic 4/4), Afoxe, Partido Alto, Baao and Bossa Nova. Kristine Mills (vocals/guitar), was the winner of the Houston Press Music Awards, Best Female Vocalist and Best Songwriter and a Houston Press Rocks off 100 - Houston's Most Distinguished Artist. She was a recipient of the Houston Arts Alliance for Established Individual Artists Grant. Mills won a Gold REMI Award for her soundtrack written for the documentary film Collector's Waltz. In addition to her recording career, Mills played sold-out shows in theaters and performing arts centers as guest vocalist with the Duke Ellington Orchestra and headliner for the Brazilian International Jazz Festival Tours in Brazil. She regularly performs in New York at the Metropolitan Room and Zinc Bar, along with other venues throughout the US. BOSSAtoo is Mills' 6th album. There is a $22.50 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: THE METROPOLITAN ROOM PRESENTS CYNTHIA FARRELL'S 'CROSSING BRIDGES'

Cynthia Farrell's 'Crossing Bridges', a show comprised of arrangements of musical theater, pop, standards and some surprise genres, will be performed at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM(34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, October 3rd at 9:30 pm. Cynthia Farrell is a singer from Los Angeles who has built a career performing off-Broadway, in Europe and in Mexico City. She has toured and worked with iconic artists such as Stevie Nicks. There is always a true dramatic arc in Cynthia's shows, and an emotional journey that makes for a very exciting night. Cynthia has also built a strong career in commercial voiceovers in English and in Spanish and is well known for her role of "Catalina", the Puerto Rican gangster in Grand Theft Auto 3 and San Andreas. To nourish her love of writing and song delivery, Cynthia explored the intimate world of cabaret with her show "Cynthia Farrell, For Real" at the legendary Don't Tell Mama in NYC. The follow up to that show was "Cynthia Farrell, For Real 2.0", at The Metropolitan Room. Cynthia was born in Mexico City and is from Spanish and Costa Rican descent on her mother's side, which has provided her with the gift of fluency in Spanish and a culture to draw from in her music and story telling ability in song. Her father is Robert Farrell, the conductor, arranger and keyboard player for The Temptations. Cynthia grew up recording in his studio, learning the craft and the various genres that came through his door from R&B, to Pop and Latin music. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: JASON DANIELEY AT FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW

Broadway singing actor and recording artist Jason Danieley (The Visit, Curtains, Next to Normal) invites you to hear what's in his heart when he performs at FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) on Friday through Tuesday, October 2nd through 5th at 7:00 pm. Longing for the love of your life, finding your forever friend, a rekindling of the flame that you thought had dwindled ... romance is a big part of our lives! And embracing the need for that special someone can make you want to sing about it. Now, in a brand new show, Jason sings of love, incorporating music of all genres. Accompanied by a jazz trio led by music director Tedd Firth, with Pete Donovan on bass and Clin DeGanaon on Drums, Jason embraces the Romantic Notions that have haunted and consumed him his whole life. He is Irish after all! There is a $40-$85 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: 54 SINGS BROADWAY'S GREATEST HIT SONGS

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551) presents "54 Sings Broadway's Greatest Hit Songs" on Saturday, October 3rd at 9:30 pm. Hear the songs that made Broadway great, performed by today's greatest stars, singing them straight up, the way you want to hear them! Producer/ director/ host is Scott Siegel. He has created more than 200 major concert events centered on Broadway music, plus he has written, directed, and produced concerts for Michael Feinstein at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Featuring: William Michals (South Pacific), Jeannette Bayardelle (The Color Purple), Nancy Anderson (Wonderful Town), Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera), Maxine Linehan ("Beautiful Songs"), Jack Noseworthy (Sweet Smell of Success) the show also features Musical Direction by Ross Patterson (Broadway by the Year). There is a $35-$80 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.
