CCP (Chicago Cabaret Professionals) presents the first of their Musical Monday at Victory Garden celebrations: 'One One Thrilling Combination: Marvin Hamlisch and Michael Bennett' on Monday, September 28th at 7:30 pm at VICTORY GARDENS BIOGRAPH THEATER (2433 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-871-3000 - ). Performers scheduled to appear include Ken Baker, Charlene Brooks, Laura Freeman, Rob Lindley, Beckie Menzie, Tom Michael, Natalie Myre, Marianne Murphy Orland, Tecora Rogers and Ariana Burks. There is a $30 cover - discount tickets when you purchase entire 4-show series.

CHICAGO: THE PIANO HAS BEEN DRINKING: A CABARET TRIBUTE TO TOM WAITS
Meredith Miller, Emmy Bean, Nick Davio, and Gary Damico come together to bring a little dive bar to DAVENPORT'S (1383 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL - 773-278-1830) on Monday, September 28th at 8:00 pm. This evening of songs peels back the gruff layers of Waits' own voice, and allows his astonishing poetry to shine through. With his words carried smoothly to the stars on three beautiful voices in harmony, you will walk away astounded, scratching your head and saying "Wow, I never knew that's what he was singing about!" Enjoy unique arrangements of your favorite Tom Waits songs, as well as lesser-known works that should cement his place in history as one of the greatest Jazz songwriters of all time.
