HOTLINE MEMBER CABARET EVENT TONIGHT IN PALM SPRINGS, CA: "BROADWAY, BILL'S WAY" IN PALM DESERT
The desert's own Bill Clifford will perform "Broadway, Bill's Way" at THE ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE at the JOSLYN CENTER(73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA - TKTS: 760-325-2731) on Sunday, August 23rd at 2:00 pm as part of the on-going Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series. Joining him on stage will be Wayne Abravanel on the baby grand piano. Bill is a Broadway baby if there ever was one, having been doing shows for over 15 years, many at the Palm Canyon Theatre. Some of his favorites include; A Chorus Line, Mame, Gypsy, Scarlet Pimpernel, Gigi, Anything Goes, 1776, Big River, and The Producers, and is a Desert Theatre League winner for Best Supporting Actor. Lately Bill has been honing his Cabaret skills at the Saturday night open mics at AJ's On The Green where Wayne Abravanel is the accompanist. Wayne, who moved here from New York City, has conducted or played for musicals like; Tommy, Sunset Boulevard, Chicago, Cabaret, Jekyll and Hyde, West Side Story, and 42nd Street. In concerts Wayne has played for Leslie Uggams, Michele Lee, Elaine Page, Jane Olivor, Roslyn Kind, and locals such as Hal Linden, Kaye Ballard, and Donna Theodore. There is an $11 cash cover - available day of show at the theater box office.
