Stacy Sullivan, 2015 MAC Award winner for Major Artist, hosts an evening benefiting Cabaret Cares/ Help is on the Way Today at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, August 29th at 7:00 pm. The event promises to be a glorious night of music, brought to you by many of the brightest lights in Cabaret today ... and support a fantastic cause at the same time. Some of these gifted, generous people will be stopping by: Doreen Montalvo, T. Oliver Reed, Rebekah Lowin, Eric Yves Garcia, Natalie Douglas, Lauren Fox, Marissa Mulder, Savannah Brown, Chase O'Donnell, and Yasuhiko Fukuoka. As with all live entertainment events, cast subject to change without notice. Help Is On The Way Today is a 501c3 New York Non Profit corporation. None of the staff or board members take a salary. Which means all of the money donated goes to programmatic activity to help children and young adults living with HIV. Their mission at Help Is On The Way Today is to raise and distribute funds to NYC based organizations that support children and young adults living with HIV/AIDS; particularly, those with little or no medical coverage and/or financial support. We accomplish this mission, by producing events that promote awareness and raise funds. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum..

NYC: A JEW AND A BLACK GUY ... AND FRIENDS STARRING HT ROSEN AND JORDAN STYLEZ

A Jew and a Black Guy Comedy Show, an Atlanta based duo comprised of HT Rosen and Jordan Stylez, will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Saturday, August 29th at 1:00 pm. They bring back the ole school Catskill type antics of yesterday in a comedic duo fashion reminiscent of older times. A Jew and a Black Guy are hip, modern comics that attempt to break down racial biases and stereotypes through laughter and fun. They have produced,hosted, marketed and sold out over 100 large events, all over the U.S. the duo has toured,featured,headlined and hosted countless theatres and clubs including The World Famous Punchline, The Relapse Theatre, The Basement Theatre, Loews art centre, Jerry Farbers and many more. A Jew and a Black guy recently finished a west coast tour culminating in Los Angeles with featured stops at The Comedy Store, Comedy Union, and a headlining spot at Jon Lovitz Comedy Club at Universal Studios. NYC: JUDY & LIZA AT DON'T TELL MAMA!

Now in it's 5th Year, "Judy and Liza Together Again", starring internationally acclaimed entertainers Rick Skye and Tommy Femia, named "Best Duo"in 2012 by MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets), has been Extended Again at DON'T TELL MAMA(343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) with the next performance scheduled for Saturday, August 29th at 8:00 pm. Musical Director: Ricky Ritzel (as Mort/ Pappy). Teaming up for an evening of "Just POW!", these MAC and Bistro Award winning performers pull out all the stops, singing classic solo's, parodies, duets and just plain whooping and hollering by the greatest mother/ daughter team in show biz history. Tommy Femia is a 7 time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Award for his brilliant portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy Garland LIVE!", now in it's 20th season at Don't Tell Mama. He has also starred in "Whoop-de-doo", "I Will Come Back" and, most recently, "Norma Does Men". Rick Skye is a multi award winning performer, who has written a string of outrageous comic revues including "The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka" (Bistro Award winning performance), "MaCabaret - a tabloid fable", "The War of the Mama Roses", "It's Madame with an E" (performed with his indefatigable co-star - the one and only Madame), "Barbra and Liza LIVE!" A performer, Adrian Miranda is also a doctor of physical therapy and a professor at TOURO college. NYC: THE COMMANDER CODY BAND AT JOE'S PUB

The Commander Cody Band will perform at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE(425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Saturday, August 29th at 7:00 pm. Ever since his wild early days as a front man for The Lost Planet Airmen, Commander Cody has plowed his own path through the fields of the American music scene as one of its few truly unique and iconoclastic figures. NYC: JOE'S PUB PRESENTS IDA BLUE: A BLUES DEBUT

Ida Blue channels the spirit of Memphis Minnie, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Robert Johnson, Sister Wynona Carr and others in her second appearance at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Saturday, August 28th at 9:30 pm. The first show, a tribute to Lady Day, was an absolute smash hit. Blue's performance garnered the full attention of NYC's music lovers and industry alike, and pulled multiple standing ovations from a full house that begged for more. Get a chance to witness a repeat performance of this emerging Brooklyn monarch of song as she pays respect to the music that started it all.
