NYC: SANDY TAYLOR - STANDARD DEVIATIONS

Sandy Taylor, a New York-based singer/actor and a member of Actors' Equity presents her show Standard Deviations' at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Sunday, August 16th at 7:00 pm. A classic leading lady with something up her sleeve. Sandy is versatile in style and range with a lyric soprano, a strong mix, clear belt, and warm mezzo that allows her to sing anything from legit and contemporary musical theatre to jazz, folk, and pop. In addition to performing, Sandy is also a private voice instructor as well as an Adjunct Professor of Acting at Montclair State University. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: SALON "BROADWAY – TIN PAN ALLEY & BEYOND"

SALON - that unique, Multiple Award Winning, Weekly Open Mic Event, created and hosted by Mark Janas will return to ETCETERA ETCETERA (352 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-399-4141) on Sunday, July 19th from 7:00 pm -10:30 pm. (Sign-Up Begins at 6:15 pm). The Theme on the 19th is "Broadway – Tin Pan Alley & Beyond". Co-Host will be Ann Dawson. Salon will then continue every Sunday (except September 6th & September 13th). Remember, any material, on or off theme, is always welcome at Salon. Salon is produced by Tanya Moberly. There is a $10 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum. No reservations are taken.

NYC: NICOLE COFFARO TO MAKE NYC CABARET DEBUT AT DON'T TELL MAMA

Nicole Coffaro will make her NYC Cabaret debut at DON'T TELL MAMA(343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) on Sunday & Monday, August 16th & 17th at 7:00 pm. She will be accompanied by Drew Wutke at the piano. Nicole is a vivacious, strong, passionate singer and actor. A native of Fullerton, California, Nicole was born to sing, and discovered her love of musical theatre at a young age. In May, she graduated from Chapman University with her BFA in Theatre Performance as well as a Music Minor in Vocal Performance, and she moved to New York a week later. Her interest as a performer lies in walking the line between classical music and musical theatre, especially when there's opportunity to refresh and reinvent poignant work in a way that will move her audiences. At Don't Tell Mama she'll be performing an eclectic blend of classic and contemporary musical theatre, jazz, and classical music; all styles that she loves to sing including works by Gershwin, Arlen , Bernstein and Weill, as well as incorporating new composers into the mix, all while celebrating her love of music, her culture, and the thrill of moving to New York City. There is no cover charge - just a 2-drink minimum.

Singer and Pianist Michael Carmine Di Bianco presents an acoustic collection of music by the one and only Madonna at THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438) on Sunday, August 16th at 6:30 pm. With a catalog of hits spanning more than three decades, Madonna continues to revolutionize and reinvent the pop music scene with her controversial and provocative performances. NYC: SEE JANE SING! WITH JANE LYNCH AT JOE'S PUB

Fresh from her iconic portrayal of Sue Sylvester on "Glee" and her Broadway debut as Miss Hannigan in "Annie," Jane Lynch returns to New York City to perform her new musical comedy "See Jane Sing" at JOE'S PUB at THE PUBLIC THEATRE (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - 212-967-7555) on Sunday through Wednesday, August 16th through 19th - with 2 performances nightly at 7:00 & 9:30 pm. The show comes full circle for Jane as she debuted the act at 54 Below last year to rave reviews. Taking the stage at Joe's Pub for a four day run, Jane's show has evolved to include special guests like Kate Flannery of "The Office," who plays Jane's mischievous vocal partner, and Tim Davis, the talented former musical arranger on "Glee." The Emmy and Golden Globe winner also designed a fresh song list boasting delightful new takes on "If Wishes Were Rainbows", "Mr. Monotony", "Far From the Home I Love", and "Skeletons/Blood" from A Mighty Wind. Not your typical Broadway narrative, Lynch, accompanied by a five-piece band, builds the evening around her musical chops and comedic wit and charm. There is a $25=$75 cover.

NYC: THIS IS CABARET - WITH ANN HAMPTON CALLAWAY AND SPECIAL GUEST STEVE TYRELL

Recasting cabaret as an emotionally engaging experience rather than a place, host Ann Hampton Callaway celebrates intimate performances and heartfelt songs from a variety of genres: jazz, Broadway, folk , singer-songwriter, the blues, and more in her show "This is Cabaret" at BIRDLAND(315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) on Sundays at 6:00 pm. Opening night for these weekly performances is August 16th. Guests give intimate performances and share personal insights, live from the stage of the legendary Birdland. Each week, Ann Hampton Callaway "The Queen of American Cabaret" (Broadway World) , will hold court and engage some of the most interesting singers and songwriters from America and around the world. Her opening Special Guest is Steve Tyrell. There is a $30 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
