Rising Star Theatricals, San Diego's award-winning theatre training program for aspiring professional performers, presents SINGING SONDHEIM at MARTINI'S ABOVE FOURTH (3940 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA - 619-400-4500) on Monday & Tuesday, August 17th & 18th at 8:00 pm! This musical revue features some of Stephen Sondheim's greatest hits from Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Company, Follies, Merrily We Roll Along, A Little Night Music, and more! Come hear tomorrow's Broadway Stars in this intimate setting, under the direction of Katie Wilson, and accompanied by Ron Councell. There is a $20 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
LOS ANGELES, CA: STUPID SONGS AT ROCKWELL TABLE & STAGE
Following a sold out and rave-reviewed run at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June, the Stupid Songs Troupe returns to ROCKWELL: TABLE & STAGE (1714 Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA - 323-669-1550) on Tuesday, August 18th at 8:00 pm to perform an evening of their Stupidest Hits (and to try out a few brand new original tunes!). Most of the Troupe members met while studying at the Groundlings and have spent the past two years composing original funny songs, and seeking out hidden hilarious gems by other up-and-coming composers. There is a $15 plus a 2-item minimum.
