NYC: MARIE-CLAIRE AND LEE O'CONNELL SING A BROADWAY ODE TO WOMEN

Marie-Claire, an Italian-trained opera singer who lives and breathes the musical genres of opera, jazz, hip-hop and reggae, will perform at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) on Tuesday, January 20th at 7:00 pm with her show "A Broadway Ode to Women". Marie's recent engagements include singing the National Anthem for the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclay Center, performing standards with Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra in LA and she continues to appear at the Metropolitan Room in New York City. She has also spent time in front of the camera as a cast member on the second season of Chappelle's Show on Comedy Central and is currently auditioning for other roles on network TV as she works to expand her skills to acting. Marie-Claire also performed at the Central Park Summer Stage Lyricist Lounge for a crowd of 5,000 people with Black Moon's DJ Evil Dee and Doug E. Fresh who nicknamed her "The Queen," due to her astounding performance that gripped the crowd. Lee Kelly O'Connell got her B.A. in drama from the University of Virginia and spent a semester studying acting at Ireland's premier conservatory, the Gaiety School of Acting, in Dublin. Lee is a member of two theatre companies in New York City, Theatre 68 and Love Creek Productions. She has been active in the local theatre community in both staged readings (Lauren, Searching for Candi, the Wild Project; Jane Seymour/Elizabeth, The King's Legacy, Random Access Workshop Readings) and Off-Off Broadway productions (Chorus Leader, Agamemnon & Mrs. Parker, The Letter, Love Creek Productions; Emily, The Babysitter, Theatre 68). Her most recent project was performing and then reviving the role of Mrs. Dorritsaunders in Watson: The Musical and Waston the Musical: Abridged under the direction of Bryan Hunt, the assistant director for the Broadway production of Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
NYC: JAZZ LEGEND ANNIE ROSS TUESDAYS THE METROPOLITAN ROOM

Jazz legend Annie Ross continues her unprecedented, record-breaking, multi-year run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440), every Tuesday night at 9:30 pm. Ms. Ross has been an abundant contributor to the art of jazz for over 50 years. Born in the UK, she has been a permanent resident of the USA for many years and a US citizen since 2001. Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

NYC: FRANKIE J GRANDE AT 54 BELOW

Frankie J. Grande, who is currently starring in Rock of Ages on Broadway, after spending a season in the "Big Brother" house, will perform at 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street, NYC - 646-476-3551 - ) on Tuesday, January 20th at 7:00 pm and Wednesday, January 21st at 9:30 pm. He is a performer, producer, host, YouTube star and social media mogul. Frankie has a rich history in the theater as he has performed in Mamma Mia! on Broadway, produced Hamlet starring Jude Law, and produced and co-directed Brooke Shields' one woman show at Feinstein's. He was honored with the title of "Mr. Broadway" in 2007. In his return to 54 Below Frankie performs his favorite pop hits and Broadway show tunes, dishes about his time in the "Big Brother" house, and makes audiences laugh with his incredible impersonations. There is a $25-$60 cover plus a $25 food/drink minimum.

NYC: DINE & DANCE WITH VINCE GIORDANO AND THE NIGHTHAWKS - NOW AT THE IGUANA

Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are back - and now will play every Monday & Tuesday night from 8:00 to 11:00 pm at at IGUANA'S VIP LOUNGE (240 West 54th Street, NYC - 212-765-5454). Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks is an eleven-piece band playing music of the 1920s & 30s for your dining and dancing pleasure. In 1976 Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks (originally known as the New Orleans Nighthawks) was formed. A big-band historian and collector, Giordano has more than 60,000 scores in his collection. There is a $15 cover (at the door) plus a $15 food drink minimum.
