
Award winning jazz vocalist Laurie Krauz returns to
THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) with another in her series of "Jazz Soup" shows. This will be a very special edition of the series she's calling "Jazz Soup (Be Careful Contents May be Hot)!" - a fun, eclectic, mix of some of the most exciting jazz artists around. This time it's a holiday fest AND art show. Who's in the soup this month? We are thrilled to have: Vicki Burns, Marcus Goldhaber, Judi Silvano, Andrea Wolper and The Daryl Kojak Trio with Sean Conly (bass) and Dwayne 'Cook' Broadnax (drums), (and, your host, Laurie Krauz). They will be featuring some of Judi's artwork in the lobby - available for purchase. There is a $20 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Miles Phillips takes center stage at
URBAN STAGES (259 West 30th Street, NYC - 212-421-1380 - ) on Tuesday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm singing a few of his favorite songs made famous by the legendary giant of popular song, film, TV and radio, Bing Crosby. He is joined by Steve Ross, Mary Foster Conklin, Jeff Harnar, Marissa Miller, Marissa Mulder, Julie Reyburn, Anna Marie Sell, and Susan Winter. Musical director Bill Zeffiro curates and co-hosts with Crosby biographer Gary Giddins. Phillips is a multiple award-winning actor, director, cabaret vocalist and recording artist with appearances in theaters, clubs and concert halls from Honolulu to London. He has countless leading New York and regional theatre roles, numerous film and television appearances, a popular solo album and a score of original and studio cast recordings to his credit. There is a $40 cover (includes champagne reception with the artists.
