TONIGHT'S CABARET PICK FOR NYC: BABY JANE DEXTER WITH MORE RULES OF THE ROAD
Baby Jane Dexter's new show, More Rules of the Road, debuts at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) on Friday, November 29th; Saturday, November 30th; Thursday, December 5th; Friday, December 13th; and Friday, December 27th - all at 7:00 pm. Sharing the stage will be guest Musical Director Ian Herman. The Rules of the Road is the latest emotionally empowering and highly-charged show from this influential and beloved cabaret artist who never disappoints. Her shows are filled with memorable anecdotes from life and a brilliant performing career as well as totally unforgettable song choices that have helped make her the local legend she remains today. This new 2013 show will include compelling songs by Irving Berlin, Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh and George Gershwin, as well as something by Mike Scott from the Waterboys and a song written by Randy Newman and introduced by Baby Jane. She also does a new blues written by Vivien Wolsk suggested by KT Sullivan, and songs by greats like Peggy Lee and Sonny Burke, Rufus Wainwright and Abbey Lincoln. There is a $25 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.
