CABARET TONIGHT IN SAN FRANCISCO: BIRD'S NEST JAZZ PRESENTS THE JIM ZIMMERMAN QUARTET
BIRD'S NEST JAZZ at WATERPARK LOFTS (2875 Glascock Street #109, Oakland, CA - 510-534-6163) presents jazz in an intimate setting the last Sunday of the month from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Seating is first come, first served. On Sunday, November 24th, the club will present The Jim Zimmerman Quartet (Jim Zimmerman - vibes, Brian Moran - guitar, Doug Miller - bassist/composer, Curt Moore - drums) with some smoking jazz and Brazilian music. In 1982, Jim joined the British jazz singer Cleo Laine. He recorded five albums with Cleo including the Grammy winning "Live at Carnegie" double album, as well as composing works for Cleo and has written pieces for vibraphone. From 1992 to 2004 toured with jazz Grammy winning vocalist Dianne Schuur. $26 suggested donation includes food & beverage. Call for directions.
