CABARET TONIGHT IN NYC: BIG DADDY WILSON AT THE IRIDIUM
Big Daddy Wilson will perform at IRIDIUM JAZZ CLUB(1650 Broadway, NYC - 212-582-2121 - ) on Thursday night, September 5th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm.. Wilson hails from Edenton, NC where he grew up very poor but as Wilson puts it, "in a beautiful childhood". As with many other musicians Wilson starting singing in church, which was encouraged by his family. They felt it would keep him out of trouble. Wilson states, that he did not even know of the blues until his wife took him to a blues concert, in Germany. At that moment he knew he had found his calling. So now, it is time for him to come home and to bring his style blues, roots, soul and jazz music home with him. Until now, Wilson's music has given enjoyment and notability throughout Europe, Parts of the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. And now Wilson is here to bring you his big beautiful voice, his new Cd "I'm Your Man", plus his style and class that touch on a by gone era yet, blend well into the new age with soul.
