Legendary Saxophonist Kenny Garrett performs at BLUES ALLEY (1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC - 202-337-4141) on Thursday through Sunday, May 2nd through 5th with shows at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. From collaborating with the New Jersey symphony on Adagio For Strings to mixing it up with hip-hop legend GURU on his Jazzmatazz projects; From swinging hard with legends Miles Davis and Art Blakey, to rockin' out with Sting and Peter Gabriel. Grammy winning saxophonist Kenny Garrett brings a muscular yet lyrical eloquence to everything he does. Kenny Garrett received a Soul Train Award nomination for his 2012 studio album Seeds from the Underground in Best Traditional Jazz Artist/Group category, two Grammy nominations for "Seeds from the Underground" followed in Best Jazz Instrumental Album and Best Improvised Jazz Solo categories.
